Bond yields spiked yesterday and the dollar/stocks tanked - Thats not propaganda it's fundamentals.

Yes the CB's move forex but they listen to the bond markets.

fti, thanks for all responses. greatly appreciate your efforts. things are more clear now. i was thinking the concept of pi and phi somehow related to MO, but was not able to find direct connection

actually you peeps was suppose to figure it out yourselfs.
i already gave all the pointing fingers.
because if you can't fig and i spoon feed.
then when terrain changes , you will still be on the platter.
always remember, markets are alive. and you have to be a little ahead of the curve(crowd).
if you are too far ahead, and become predictive, then could just end up walking alone in the deserts.

Hi Chief, i'm still around though not in correct mindset after a big drawdown. taking sometime to rest and nurse some bruised ego
I will be flying back to Malaysia next week - will be away from trading for awhile but i will be checking TAF every now and then.

Dear Sir,

Some seemingly super basic terminology questions if i may seek your indulgence.
1. May i ask what does it mean when you say that the Euro (or any currency pair for that matter) is very bid ?
Taking reference from the bid / ask(offers) spread,
Does it mean that there is downward pressure on the Euro/Usd ?

Conversely, if there is a comment that there are many offers for the Euro,
does it mean there is upward pressure on the Euro/Usd ?

2. I have also heard traders say "hit the bid" , would that mean that they are selling the Euro/Usd ?
