i am using oanda on mt4 and TOS. when i opened the audusd on both platforms the candles looked so different. ALthough price was mosly the same but one chart showed a doji while the other didn't and it makes a big difference. Also both charts were on the same time frame.

There is no central market for Forex, Brokers have their own prices . . . within reason.
20 pips a day isn't too much to ask . . .

what timeframe are you talking about. it is entirely possible on daily, since brokers platforms have different times, so candles form at different hours, and some of them have sunday candle, some of them don't, and that could give a different perpective on the chart

you do realize price feeds don't have to be the same right? in fact, they will actually vary depending on the combination of liquidity providers, dark pools, banks, aggregators a broker has. it's nothing you can do about it, but then again, the price feed shouldn't vary too much.

sorry for not including screen shots guys here are they now.

I asked around and someone told me the one in Oanda shows it according to EST midnight so the candle opens and closes according to the days while the one in TOS shows their candles according to when the US market closes around 5pm EST so i suppose the end of a day for that is at 5pm EST. He reccomended me to use the one showing the candles closing at 5pm EST over the one at midnight cos he says the hours after midnight which is the japan and OZ market are considered like dead time.

Looks like forex_fairy confused by daily candle opening time. I think there is 7 hours difference between daily candle opening time for these to brokers.

The candle opening time depends from the broker server time. I don't think it can be changed.

You can't change candle opening time. Just use TOS for charting and place trades on Oanda's MT4.

I think if you search on this forum someone mentions that oanda server time is according to US market surprised it isn't.
