nice work fx! just to be clear, if directional trade does not have trend divergence, is signal still legit?

That's called 'Hidden Divergence. That level 'should' hold at least 'till a new high is made. I say should, as you know, nothing is set in stone. could be used as a trailing stop strategy, but leave at least the spread for wriggle room.

The technical name is hidden div but I call it trend divergence because it only concerns the prevailing trend will continue. Erasmus not quite sure what you mean rephrase question

fxpivots are u using a new method of rsi divergence now?
bcos theres no trend and daily range is jus 20-30 pips when u took ur +2%

david do you mean today when price was sideways then broke out went up 20 then pulled back then went up 10 more and traded the pullback at the entry point of 57 we saw trend divergence taking place to give me confidence to remain in trade

fx, would lack of trend divergence put you off tarding the signal, e.g.

yes fxpivot im refering to ur entry at 57.

because earlier on the day, price had a drop from 67 down to 38.
the price that shot upwards to give u ur entry at 57, was still in range of today's trading,

Erasmus trend divergence is used to confirm a setup is good in the chart you showed if theres no t d its still a setup.a few bars back we saw t d to confirm downtrend. The divergence stuff is just to confirm nothing more. Regular div gives a headups to possible trend change which we wait for price to confirm with breakout pullback.
