Guys,

Firstly, I am a "she".
Secondly, students don't pay attention when handed knowledge, that's why we should "steal" rather than "learn" from teachers.

This shows what Fti means about staying with your original direction. I think....

Feel free to correct me if Im wrong my friend.

This is all shorts against the trend in just over 1 hour of trading. Using a $1 scout. never went over 5th level

Hi FTI, I read through the book you introduce to us John Hill - Scientific Interpretation Of Barcharts, there are quite frequents come out with the word ' Spread ' and "Range ' that make me confuse all the time . I have go through investopedia what they telling is

Definition of 'Spread'
1. The difference between the bid and the ask price of a security or asset.

2. An options position established by purchasing one option and selling another option of the same class but of a different series.

Investopedia explains 'Spread'
1. The spread for an asset is influenced by a number of factors:

a) Supply or "float" (the total number of shares outstanding that are available to trade)
b) Demand or interest in a stock
c) Total trading activity of the stock

2. For a stock option, the spread would be the difference between the strike price and the market value.

What I understand about " Spread ' is the The difference between the bid and the ask price of a security or asset. and the " Range " is the from the High and Low of the bar. Am I right ?

Sorry for my poor english !

Haha. I guess?

It just replays the tick data from the brokers feed and lets you trade it.

I do that sometimes to keep me out of the real market when I am done.

Didn't take all shorts on purpose. Just noticed after and posted.

I may be experimenting without knowing it really though.

Thanks for bringing it up.

Back to bed for me now.

cats made me get up to let them out.

Hi
1. the spread in forex market is the difference between the bid and offer.

2. in otc options purchasing a strike and selling another is known as a straddle.
if both is selling of opts is known as strangle.

1a. in general means liquidity.
1b. in forex is best reference to aggression(urgency) of dd/ss.
1c. in fx we call volatility aka true range.

2. in forex mostly straddles and strangles are read in delta terms. either positive delta , neutral or negative as a composite position.

you are not wrong.
spread is the difference between the bid /offer

position spread as i mention is termed in delta.

In so far as range is concerned on charts that you use should be your bar tenure.
But there is many type ranges.

bar range.( hourly , sectorial, daily etc)
leg range.( continueous directional impulse)
true range.(normally is daily)
average true range.( depends on your designed parameter) daily ave, weekly ave or monthly averages. W welders well known optimised is 14.

there is 1 more you should be aware of , which so far no one charts.
is known as basis or basis range. it is the price spread
in fx between the different quoting parties in spot interbank.
In CFD forex, aka retail forex, so far no one i know of had charted. The spread between retail broking and interbank spot.
In futures derivatives is between spot cash for physicals and the futures contracts+ cost of carry (storage , transportation etc)

regards

oh forgot 1 more
basis range on seasonal tendencies, mostly the commodities futures peeps does this.
also the equities (stock)peeps, they have basis charts between many related catagorys, in transports for example they chart shipping against freight. and indexes.

seems everyone very nervous.
they still and eyeballing each other.
patience.
when in doubt , stay out.

dongsky has a better saying.
he prefers to be out wishing he was in a trade , than in wishing he was out.
hasn't seen him for sometime.

euro flirting the tops, cable many bull, and ec big gaping gap on my chart.
this very unusual behaviour.
very ABnormal.

Market maybe waiting for US unemployment data in 2 hours time to gauge possible tapering???? Maybe??.

Watching the kingdoms playing with my scouts at the moment, tried a small skew earlier in e/u and a/u but out for now.
