Oh, I don't necessarily agree with that. Holding a swing or long term position when price is grinding against you is awfully painful, even with modest leverage.

But I guess we all have different tolerances to pain.

If today's move really turns into the reversal I am hoping for, it reinforces my theory about hump day.

Hello guys, nice to be here with you, hoping ot learn a lot and also contribute as i can!

Here's my question

As you might know, today will be the Cash Rate anouncement.
Looking at NZD USD Chart, Jun 12, 1h timeframe chart,
i observed that the candle just before the "announcement candle" was ~33 pip up.
And the "announcement candle" was ~38 - 58 pips down.

Somebody here know why this behavior occured?
How is the probability of this phenomena be happening again?

Well, I do not trade such pattern, since I think it is a futile attempt to think about the way, how the big boys may screw most of the traders most of the time at such announcements.

Some times I trade such situations with both a long and short position at the same price, each with 5-10 pips TP and either huge SL or no SL at all


But mostly I do not trade such a situation

then it's seems more like:
