I echo your sentiment my friend. I had the same feeling and level of appreciation during the peak days of the EurAnalysis thread.
Unfortunately for me, managing that thread 14 hours per day for 18 months nonstop ended up burning me out and I had to take a long deserved holiday. Even so, I still appreciate all the support from everyone who made it such a great thread. In fact to this day it is still statistically the 3rd most popular thread in FF even though it has been very quiet for almost two months now.

Well, things don't evolve as fast as one would expect.
On the other hand, whoever tried to trade EURUSD after Benny's speech could find very good spots to close shorts like at 50% retracement of the last 1.2992-1.3173 move (1.3083) or simply at the daily kijun (1.3084). (I managed to close some @ 1.30882 so FINALLY I have a pinpointed trade, like the ones real jerks post just after )
Now, since on more than one TF's, price has hit support regions/lines, I would like to see a little bounce and then drop with the first target being 1.3038. It may not be a matter of minutes since we can still easiliy end up somewhere in the middle of a silly pingpong game.

We now have two shelfs of support right below us:

a) 3088 and 3096 (weekly and monthly POC)
b) 3042 and 3035 (4h and daily POC)


So I do expect a very choppy move to the downside, if price will go to the south.

On the other side would the 3088 to 3096 offer a very good launchpad for a quick move to the upper side.


EW right now is not of much help here, since one can count too many alternatives, which seem to be all equal likely.


I would not be surprised, when we would revisit the 3123 area, not only important MM level but also around the DPP, as well as good resistance area now

Since we are right now in ranging conditions, MMSMP should work very well.

The 15min TF had reached the +5SD

Well, yesterday I learned in my other thread regarding Algo-trading, that price is set up to not mean revert, when is goes beyond +2SD, and expectation should be, that price will consolidate, but not necessarily return to the mean.

So let us watch what will happen now.

Mean on 15min is 3143, with POC at 3140. The 2SD is at 3123 (funny, how sometimes the levels reflect the levels in Murrey Math)
You remember, right?I work with simple statements: While the price is above this support, then the target can be over 3710.

Good morning peeps.
I have no useful analysis this morning other than to say that I am still maintaining my mid term view of bullish USD against the majors.
I'm still positioned for it and the lack of follow through in the dollar swoon only gives me more conviction for my sentiment.
I like to use USD/CHF as a proxy for the USD sentiment and although there is no technical case to be made on the immediate direction of that pair, the fact that the 200 day ema and sma (yellow lines) are providing very strong support is good enough for me, for now.

How many data you include in this calculation. T-x?
You considered doing two calculations with different speedz?
How does it work for you? How do you use it. Only for direction or you do some positioning?
I see the values. You are using porpotional system of some kind. How do you define ratios and weights on them?




And yes, fook the CHF.

let me explain quickly, because I am on the run:


a) I take the daily, weekly, monthly etc. high and low, determine the mid. Then I calculate, in which %-span the actual price is, e.g. 61% above or below the mid

The % number specifies the amount of high - mid or mid - low in %


b) the "Summe" or "Sum" is simply the sum of all the values: eg USDEUR, USDGBP, AUSUSD, USDJPY, USDCAD


c) all currencies are equal weighted


d) 2 currencies from the continent (EUR and GBP), two currencies from America (USD and CAD), two currencies from ASIA (JPY and AUD)



This is a very simple approach and I have it build a few days ago LOL So not much of experience with it


I have observed different currency strength meters in the past. They give a god idea of the relative strength, but I think it is futile to use them for trading decisions alone



If you have experience, I am interested in discussion
