to put it black and white - any religion is bad.

if you could call God a system then religion would be the method, the rules, the suff somebody that somebody has written down.

religion is control of the herd.

(and it bores me out of my mind)

The difference between people that believe in god/s and me, is that I believe they are entitled to their own opinions (that doesn't mean I don't have my own views on their opinions) whereas they do not afford me the same courtesy, quite the opposite in many cases.

in terms of God existence, we can't prove anything that God is exist, as equal as, we can't prove that God doesn't exist. just stating my mind, sorry if it was walk too far from the core of problem.

I agree. God is big enough to know if God exists, but we are not big enough. Religions tell us this and that, but they can't all be right. It is quite possible they're all wrong.

This is our unhappy situation, and now we must decide how to live. Will we live as if God is good, or as if God is bad, or as if God is non-existent?

Of these three options, only one offers us any hope. This is the road I think we should take.

{quote} Whatever your beliefs, you seem to be saying in your earlier post that anybody who disagrees with you is a monkey. I would not like to follow a belief system that encouraged me to think in that way.

My apologies for not writing more clearly.

If I disagree with you, it's because I believe you are not a mere monkey, but a true man.

A popular philosophy called Materialism is gaining more and more believers. It teaches that nothing exists beyond the material world, that science will discover everything worth knowing, that we are nothing but intelligent apes, that free-will, mind and self-consciousness are illusions, that morality is made up, that we are nothing but the accidental by-product of an impersonal universe.

The opposing philosophy (Theism) rejects every one of these points. We are not mere monkeys etc.

The real battle of our times isn't between Islam and Christianity, but between Theism and Materialism. The stakes couldn't be higher.

I probably stand somewhere in the middle of the two opposing gropus that you perceive to exist in today's world. My only comment would be that I find materialists less irritating because they never knock on my door and attempt to force their opinions onto me (without even checking whether I share them or not). Nor do they harass me in the street.

yup, religion can be wrong or right.

i believe in God.
thus.. yes, i can be wrong or right.
i have nothing special reason logically. i just simply believe.

pray makes me serene.
psychologically, maybe it's just self fulfilling.
i believe God as my guardian. it maybe sounds ridiculous logically.
but, i don't care.

and since we can't scientifically prove anything that God is exist, as equal as, we can't prove that God doesn't exist.
i can't give you conviction about God the way i believe in. and vice versa,
therefore, let them who has belief in their religion walk the way which they choose.

cheers.

Everyone wants to go to heaven,or nirvana, etc,,but no one wants to die?

Why ??

no one wants to die, mostly because they are afraid of what will happen. how will it feel like? is it painful? is it peaceful? no one knows. its normal for people to even question if there is Heaven or nirvana, etc,. what if theres no Heaven,or nirvana, etc,.? what happens then? people dont want to leave behind the people they love, or be separated from what theyre familiar with. death is an unfamiliar territory- and for most people, its scary. whether u make peace with it, u accept it, or ur scared to death with it, no one really has NO doubts.

everyone wants to go to Heaven ,or nirvana, etc, (if there is Heaven,or nirvana, etc ) because we all heard it was the most peaceful place- where u can be happy and watch over everyone else. u can meet God (sorry if ur not christian or anything) and see everyone that passed before u. they say u'll have nothing to worry about - u'll be in paradise.

everyone wants to go to Heaven or nirvana, etc, because we've all been told that's the place where u'll be eternally at peace when u die. u wouldnt want to be stuck somewhere else for the rest of forever would u? and no one wants to die because theyre afraid of what will happen when they do. its a scary thought, but it really depends on which way u think about it.
if there is something you should keep secret, simply just save it,, so, just

Hi Chief, good to see you posting lots now.
Every post teaches me something about life and relationships.
I think one day when i am terminal too, i shall be thinking about the people that i have loved before and will perhaps look them up again.
Makes one wonder the multiple paths the our lives might have taken, but as fate has it, it led us to where we are today...
As what someone once told me, "Life is littered with regrets"
But the important thing is to move on and keep your chin up.
Many thanks !

It sounds like you don't really understand the concept of nirvana (or nippaan as its pronounced - sorry, don't mean to be pedantic..well I do (!) but nirvana sounds strange to me now).

re. Death. I'm not scared it will hurt, I just don't want to cease to exist.

Good traders learn to do damage control, when positions becomes too unpleasant and without resolution.
may not abandon positions, but is unwise force bias(point of view).
normally stop digging deeper with keen observation stance is good strategy.
When begining feel strong resistance/barrier, means there is an impass.
best way to overcome is to look for common ground( win win passage) navigate it.

It not say if view is right or wrong. Is just says that the positions not seem getting ahead for now.
Try find common ground and trend will be more profitable.
If lose cool, can get painful.

mindset.

I think this is the most difficult thing to figure out when learning to dance with the market the way you do so well. It's about deciding when to leave the battle so you can regroup to win the war. I've been practicing this dance on DEMO and haven't had to leave without a profit @ the end of the day for the last month but not sure how I'll handle it with real money. I've been in a little deep at times but always seem to find my way out to look for the next battle. Not sure if I'm getting better at it or just getting lucky.

Thanks FTI for all the knowledge you're sharing. Much appreciated.

good to hear you doing well in demo.
there many lessons to learn in real mode.
mostly how you handle situations when the ego trys take charge.
how diffuse it. about humility and forces.
about how small we are in the big things that happens around us.
about empathy and forgiveness.
mostly what happens inside you mindset.
You love God since you was born.
as you said you go church looking for him every weekend.
Now learn walk with him everyday. Pray alot the Lord's prayer.
Understand the prayer.
God knows what you need before you ask.
I normally not even ask.
Why ask when your creator already knows what you need.
Pray for guidance.
WE tend make errs when we not careful or focus.
tendency worsten small egoistical errs into mistakes.
Ask guidance as how christ taught you to pray.
Fortitute for not to be lead into temptations of ego. The test you been given.
Deliverance from evil, for self and others.
Manage self well, and every thing else should be smoother sailing.

Beware greed, esp in leveraged risk. Is a very sharp and unforgiving knife.
if cannot manage it, then forgo it. Only use it if you have tamed self to use it wisely.
There is no way teach you how manage it. You must learn this by yourself from your market experiences.

Be nimble and humble,
esp no be penny wise and pound foolish.

Good fortune, slowly.

regards

is just feelings vic.
hormones?
meditate, touch the feelings and let it go. I think yoou know how

Me i had a great campfire yesterday, although we didn't burn anything , so as not to add any more to the hazy situations lately.
Met up with many boys i used to walk around nature with.
They all grown up, many very nicely, many more capable than me already. makes for warm feeling in the heart.
I used teach them about stuff. Was nice when they was wheeling me around everywhere yesterday.

also met up with some old bananas i walked around with. They well, but also cannot walk around without their 'scout staff'.
I was luckier , had wheels and many to push me around, even manage shout and yell.
Its been a long time since.
