Dear friends, I have been trading in various products from equities to commodities and also FX since 5 years now. Overall I have changed 3 prop desks, in this span of time.
But currently I am trading with a broker on profit/loss sharing arrangement. He has provided me with access to the Globex platform. They have their own inhouse trading software which is much better than MT4, for trading. I still use MT4 for charting.
Now my problem is that I do not know how to keep a track record of my trades. The software does not allow to save or export the details of the trades that I make. And I have to manually write down my trades on excel sheets. They say this is because they don't want traders to take these records out of their systems. I do not understand the logic behind this unreasonable system.
Now if I trade with them for another year, and then decide to join a bigger desk , I ll not have anything to show as track record. Because I dont think anyone will appreciate my excel sheet entries.
I will be grateful if someone tell me what is a valid format for trading track records and what kind of track records are considered legitimate by investors/prop desks ?
Help appreciated.
Thanx in Advance.
