The lack of knowledge is the real reason for traders losing in forex market. Many don't even know how to draw a horizontal line in their charts and they are ready to invest in their real account. So in this situation, the result will obviously be loss.

could you explain why they are able to make big returns in demo accounts but not even a profit in real i know about market condition but i have traded both demo and real and the difference is small and my results have been quite the same ?

What "H" said..most newbies, a big chunk, tend to view the market as an easy way to make a quick buck. Well, the market's anything but easy - you need to put in the grunt work, from months to years, before you can count yourself 'successful'. But to imply that all traders are failures is not correct..just the opposite. In short, if you are going to review stats of successful traders, you need to exclude all newbies..

high return = high risk = high risk of ruin

Challenge No#1

show me one account that:
1] consistently generates the returns you talk of (at least 4 back-to-back quarters)
2] on decent lot size (100,000 units or more/ trade)
3] does not risk more than 3% trade
4] the account must not be demo!

you wont be able to

Challenge No#2

contact some prop houses and talk to the risk manager; they will tell you that a trader earning more than 150% pa is a warning sign that a trader is highly likely to be taking too much risk, which equates to a high risk of ruin

The issue is, even 150% per year isn't really worth anything to many of us, we are poor to start with, high risk gives us a chance of getting there, then backing off the risk as the account grows for sustainability.

well, if a person is under capitalised, i suggest building the skills, then acquiring a prop account; the fact is that so few people can trade "skilfully", that should you be able to do so, you will be snapped up by a prop firm; which solves the under-capitalised issue

or, aim for your 5000% pa.......but again, high return = high risk = high risk of ruin........ie., this approach rarely works

Yep rarely works, but if you don't try then it's definately not going to work.

i remain focused on finishing this project.

as always.

i have not been able to run my numbers regularly, and that does not help things at all..

not a single person here was willing to help me with two minutes of number crunching..

..but they will waste a considerable amount of time explaining to all why i am going to fail and why i failed and why i will continue to fail...

i remain focused on my work.

understanding, what we have tried and where we have failed, should if you avoid the traps help you to get there sooner, I'd hope

Is it possible ?? ofcourse everything is ( except god, ghosts ofcourse) and people have done it, from zero to RICH!!

Explain this number crunching and how we can help?

my code is not showing anything greater than something like abs(125), so it is not showing all of the numbers, but i can calculate almost anything out using other pairs, for example, the euraud is not showing but i can calculate it, as follows:

eurcad+cadaud=euraud
(+59)+(+101)=(+160)

and the audchf is now:

audcad+cadchf=audchf
(-101)+(-35)=(-136)

now, regarding your request that i should expain this number crunching to you, hmmm...

how do i say this?

if i can explain to you what needs to be done, then the problem has probably already been solved..

i am not looking for any textbook responses.

i am looking for your help as a problem solver.

mother nature doesnt come with an owner's manual.

like that.

i do recognize that it is difficult for any person to contribute fully to my work, considering that i am not releasing any details about how exactly i go about producing the above numbers, but i cant release those details, and that is that.

Looks like more than 2mins of Crunching to me

Well I'm a problem solver / creator, but need more info like all of it I guess, but guessing it's some Average Range / directional math's based method, I'm also a Math's guy!!

I see many traders that are in the field but still don't even have the basic knowledge about MT4 platform, like how to draw rectangle or select any other tool, so with this kind of low level of knowledge, how can they make money from trading.
