I am looking for a simple MT4 indicator that will display the current active currency pair symbol right on the price chart with user control over the font, font size and font color and have the label anchored to any one of the three corners (selectable) that can be further tweaked with the X and Y axis controls.

I had such a device years ago but it has slipped through the cracks and I cannot find it. I thought such an indicator would be readily available on one of the many free MT4 indie sites but no can find.

Any of you geniuses have such an animal in your stable?

It's probably an hours work . . . but it's bed time for me right now, sorry.
20 pips a day isn't too much to ask . . .

Very handy for my glancing of the 6-7 pairs vertically tiled on the screen.

Is it possible to assign differnt colours to the currencies? e.g.: EURUSD, EUR in red, USD in green.

I have updated the code to the latest MT4 build and added a separate window shift input and a 2 color option.

NOTE : To place the Symbol into an indicator window place the window number in the "Window" input.
Window = 0 is the main chart
Window = 1 is the 1st indicator window
Window = 2 is the 2nd indicator window
Window = 3 is the 3rd indicator window
etc etc etc

Just tried the indicator, and the symbol it puts on the chart appears to be jammed.

Could you update the code, please?

This is the case of displaying symbol incorrectly. Should be US500.

I took indicator in post #10 as base and made this one.

Simply plots the symbol name on the chart with the option of showing timeframe too, can be also attached to the sub window.

A good option is to use the _Symbol code if you only want 1 color text however to have 2 color text requires a lot of extra code to allow for all the different Symbol names which can even vary between Brokers once you move away from 6 letter Forex Symbols. With the resulting code you have to try and code to allow for every Symbol/letter combination which is probably an interesting code exercise but probably not really worth the time for a simple indicator such as this.

I'm not really a programmer, nor that I'm interested in programming at all, so I don't quite understand what you wanted to tell me, but I prefer a single text color mode.

I just took indicator in post #10 and deleted all redundant stuff imo.

Nice work. Makes the chart more appealing especially during presentations.

Could you please modify your indicator to display open orders with the option of Magic number and no Magic number for all open orders thanks.
So on chart it would look like:

BUY 12 SELL 4
