Can't get funds from my broker

Exactly my point. You are so dumb and dont know who to blame for it. experienced fx taders know there are a whole lot of big and reputable brokers out there( dukascopy, fxcm, fxpro, citifxpro)many are even listed on stock exchanges e.g.. FXCM, but stupid newbies like you jump on the wagon of a faceless broker offering 1000% bonus and then come over here to cry like a baby when you are screwed. go on and cry me a river!

Its too obvious that you are all behind that Makavell.
Actually the only fraud issue in trading fx for some years now occured with octafx, neither did I have any problems with fxpro, fxprimus, rvd nor mrc markets in that form.never had to come over here and complain.
The only newbie here are YOU.
Get out and prepare for big issues coming up.

Seems like there is lot o problem for the traders with octafx broker. Well i just lost my mind when they didn't deposit the no deposit bonus of $8 for the verified accounts. That's when it ticked my mind that for the welcome bonus itself its so much of hassle and not worth to deposit my real money.

i have the same problem ..they blocked my 10k ..i also send them hard copy's bt no replied yet from 2 weeks ..is there any chance to get my $..??? : (

Thank you for sharing this, I just opened an acc in octafx, and ready to deposit my account,
after reading your thread, I will canceled it, and find another broker.

Hope you could get your money back...

This is why I only have US based regulated broker.I use MBTrading and I am fine with them.
10k is lot of money.I am really sorry my friend.
I hope they send your money but I am skeptical.Chances are they will vanish and reappear with different name.
They are basically offshore gambling casinos.

This is the answer I got from the clustertech CEO. It's the company where Octafx has its servers.
After not answering the email i surprisingly got an 2nd email which you can read after the first entry, which makes clear to me
that clustertech and octafx might be lead by the same people. Check this:

I consider your insinuations as blackmail against our company in attempt to get us
to disclose confidential information related to our customers.
Sure, go ahead, you're welcome to file a lawsuit against octafx.

However, regarding our company, we have confidentiality agreements with all of our
customers and all contracts in place.
According to our lawyers we have not been breaking any regulations with our services
to this customer, and they did not abuse terms of service with our company either.

It seems to me you have issues with this customer, not us, and unless you have filed
a lawsuit with Norwegian police or Interpol we cannot disclose any information
regarding this customer or any other customers for that matter. Majority of ISPs in
the world (take for instance Amazon) follow the same regulations regarding their
customers relations, accusing us of unclean business is nonsence.

And I repeat again - we (Clustertech AS, Norwegian company) did not take any of your
funds and did not steal anything from you. Also we have never commited any fraud and
very careful on whom we take as customer. We do all information checks prior signing
the contract with each customer, and as I already said before - contract data with
this customer is genuine. What they do on the "whois" info is not our concern, since
we do not control it at all.

I suggest you file a lawsuit against OctaFX, and get a court order forwarded to
Norwegian police department.
Only in that case we can disclose the information regarding this customer.

Also, If you do not stop your blackmail attempts against Clustertech AS,we are going
to file a case with Norwegian police against you, as well as notify your employer on
your activities.
I am copying this information to our legal department for preparation of the case.

Unofficially, I do sympathize with your case.
So, to proof that we are not bad guys, I took contact just now with
OctaFX management, and explained why this fuzz is arisen.

They assureed me that over 5.000 customers have withdrawn funds after
verification with the same procedure as it was with your case.
Also, I explained why suspicion of fraud is in this case at all -
incorrect data in whois records.

Robert Swenson is real person, just he's not currently sitting and
waiting for calls at that number.
OctaFX acknowledged the problem and assured me that they will update
whois records and make sure phone number will be operational and answered.
Reputation is valuable to them and they confirmed that they will ask
people who successfull trade over time on their platform to post replies
to your forum topic, and you'll be able to verify that they are not
fraudsters.

They also assured me to improve communication procedures for the future
and will consider opening another branch somewhere in Europe to minimize
delays on document verification.
However, they are not going to change their security rutines because
according to their information every 7th person trading have registered
with false info and attempt to use stolen credit card numbers.
That's why they are taking security very seriously and require
verification, and that's not going to change.

In any case, they have all records of your transactions and said that
you are welcome to file a lawsuit where they will present all your
trading activity and your communication with them, if needed. Everything
is logged and stored.

Regarding lawsuit against our company - you're welcome to do so as well,
just I don't see the point since you have not filed lawsuit against
OctaFX yet.
But if you do - please send me case number and I'll get confirmation
from police to disclose contact information of the customer.

Otherwise your demand to disclose information about our customers is
purely illegal, and I will not break norwegian contract law unless I
have police case number against OctaFX in my hands.

Very true. Next time make sure that you will never open a live trading account with an unregulated broker.

This is just an example on what you can expect from an off shore broker. Another one is universal fx - if you google it you will get a whole site made by their customers who never seen a penny back from their account. What is even worse - this broker still operates, and if you like you can chat to them through their website - this only confirms that off shore regulation is worth very little.

I am sorry for your loss, and if i were you i would use it as a painful learning experience.

I am sure some other regulated broker will love your business.

traders especially newbees must understand the nature of fx. there is a product that is offered by banks, called the interbank market. fx brokers simply replicate the interbank product, when something is too good to be true then its likely that one will face issues

my issue is solved i get all of my money ...i wrote it several time but as a junior member my reply doesn't published by moderator..so i decided to clean up my comment .. and already submit ...i don't know why they don't cooperate me....

Surprisingly i got an email from octafx on the 30 th of October (almost 1 year later) since the first email from the 4 th of July landed straight in the spamfolder

"Dear Mr. *****!
This is Dean Trent from OctaFX. I decided to send you a duplicate email as I didn't received any response from you. Perhaps you have missed it.
Original message was sent to you on July, 4. I quote it here:

"Dear Mr. Schoenthaler!
Let me introduce myself. My name is Dean Trent and I am the service level manager at OctaFX.
I have been checking the online forums recently and noticed your thread at forexfactory.com.
After closely reviewing it, I decided to dig deeper into your case. Let me share my thoughts on it.
Your account has fallen under investigation due to the fact that it had multiple IP address matches with other accounts, registered from way outside Europe. This led us to believe that the account in question MIGHT have been involved into fraudulent activity and/or accessed by someone else but yourself. That is the one and only reason you were asked to provide the hard copies of your documents by regular mail.
This was done for security reasons ONLY and I would like to point out that we acted in full compliance with OctaFX Customer Agreement. Let me remind you that upon opening a real account with OctaFX you unconditionally agree to abide by the Customer Agreement. Some of the IP matches were caused by the usage of forexfactory.com trade explorer.
We requested your documents on October 31. We did not suspend or disable your account except for the ability to move funds from that account elsewhere, which is quite natural for customer funds protection. You mailed us the hard copies of your documents on November 8. It usually takes about a month to deliver any mail to our security department, considering such mail was sent from Europe. It was your sole decision to continue trading and you have full responsibility for the outcome of your trading.
Your documents were delivered to Kingstown, St. Vincent on December 12. A regular check took longer than usual due to the fact that the documents received were nowhere near what had been initially requested. Documents were neither apostilled nor attested by a notary. Your account verification was completed on December 19. By that time, you had already experienced a stop out. I do understand the frustration about the incurred loss.
I still believe that there is a way to settle this dispute. As far as I can see, you’ve been misinformed by our support team staff regarding your verification status. I bring my apologies for that. I am truly sorry to hear that your experience with OctaFX did not meet your expectations.
It is definitely not our standard to leave customers’ concerns unattended. Please get back to me so that we can find a solution that would satisfy everyone involved.

Following this email we meet the agreement that all the equity I used to have at the time when my account was verified will be returned.
Finally i got back my funds from octafx via moneybookers plus the gains I had at the time of the actual account verification.

clearly poor customer services, they should have called u on mobile and explain why account was put on investigation.

now after this thread when their business was affected they thought to give ur money back

OctaFx still doing the same with everyone. Who ever take 2/3 small withdraws they blocks their account for withdrawal and asks for documents hard copy which may never will reach to them as they has PO-BOX not mailing address. Better stay away from them.
