No one will be able to fix that bot since there is NO Order Logic within the EA itself. There is absolutely no reference to the dll file so I'm not quite sure how this one should trigger trades. Anyways no one will take apart the dll

What if a ton of people are running your EA? Wouldn't that profit your EA from extra PA in your direction? Isn't that the idea behind sharing strategies on forums such as this one? If there's no benefit, why do people share strategies in the first place?

If I coded an EA that worked, I would sell it to as many people as possible and then I would make a better EA that also took advantage of that EA's triggers, stops, etc.

The money you can raise by selling an EA that rakes in 20% per year is far greater then running it yourself even if you have 20k or so. Once you sell it to so much people that it's affecting the market then you are already richer then you could hope to believe ($50/EA, 1 million sold = $50 million). And even 1 million isn't going to affect forex in the slightest bit as long as it's a bunch of small time traders (lol Banks and big shot traders use systems WAY more advanced then a frigging MT4 EA). Then you can still run it for 20%/year yourself, or run another "improved" EA. Or you could just sell that one aswell for $50 a pop and make another $50 million. Who really needs $100 million anyway?

Of course, if your EA truly rakes in 20%/year then it's worth way more then $50. Your going to get rich very fast wheter you run it or sell it.

So tl;dr is basicly: Don't trust anyone trying to sell you an EA, except me.

I have a profitable EA.. At least for about one year backtesting. I was surprised by the results, and I discovered it by accident.

finding a system that is profitable for one year is really not hard. Almost any system has a profitable year. Problem is that all the remaining years will be losers.

This week I'm demo testing the Pipscut Kobra EA. So far I see only consistant gains. If it can maintain another week of consistant gains.. Then, I'll consider letting it run live.

I have never tried to search for an EA because any good EA will be having high cost of purchase associated with it and there is no guarantee that it will continue to give profits for a long time.

I will strongly recommend that you should stop your search for any EA and you should start training yourself to become a good trader that can trade manually. Because trading profitably on EA is not possible on longer term basis.

Many of you here are recommending manual over EA trading. I don't think it is a black or white, either or situation. Manual and EA trading are both fraught with difficulties, and over 95% lose. However, I have seen robust EAs stand out, backtested over 10 years with tick quality data and forward tested over 3 years. Check out Forex Combo System and Wallstreet Forex Robot. These EAs seem so far to have stood the test of time. Maybe one could learn to trade manually and become a good trader in 10+ years, but choosing a worthy EA (while avoiding the 95+% that are crap) can help in the meantime.

This is a common thing for most of the EAs

If you want to search profitable EA, please go to my thread "Profitable EAs and good resources". I have many profitable EA, and good stuffs, those are my collection.

Honestly speaking, I can tell you why EA doesn't work in live trading. I am not very pro in coding, but I have the experience of coding visual basic, and meta editor. I understand that someone out there could tweak the codes into a profitable curve because I also can code this, it is just a math cheating technique. Therefore, you can see many scam out there and live result is different from backtesting.

In my thread, I don't prefer to use those EA to trade, but I study them and apply some of the concept into my personal EA. The reason why are those EA profitable is
1. Hold losing position until positive return
2. Using averaging down
3. Big capital for martingale with uncontrollable lot size

After few years of studies and done many research myself, it is possible to code a profitable EA that work forever without the above mentioned concepts, because I have coded it successfully. Sorry, please don't ask me to share this because I deserve it. But I
am willing to help and share with you the techniques. Importantly, you need work hard and think differently because common way of thinking, or common method does not work.

I'm actually running my EA on a live account and it works like in the tester.

So don't listen to those that say that EAs don't work, EAs work as long as they are bug free and I assure you that they are a lot out there that are far from being bug free.

So my advice is that instead of looking for holy grail out there, write one yourself, write down crystal clear rules for entry, exit and money management, test your entry/exit rules by hand on a chart and if you see that it can work, write it down in MQL and make some back tests.
Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication.
