How to pass the time while trading?

how do you pass the time while trading ?(it can be very fuck'n boring )


any advice? this is the most important issue for me .

Do something that you can occupy your mind with but you can abandon or stop at moment's notice.

-Play some games. For me, it's Cities in Motion 2. Nice simulation game that you can really get into.

-Do some housework but NOT cooking or vacumning. NOT fun when the price alarm sounds and you are stuck with sticky fingers with flours or the water is boiling over. Vacumning really doesn't allow you to hear the alarms.

-Watch some shows. My favorite is The Good Wife. Those fast-talking, contentious lawyers really get me into the combative mood for trading. Remember trading is WAR!!

Awesome, finally a useful thread:-D. i have been feeling kinda bad about playing battle pirates, thinking that i should be watching the chart and concentrating. then i think hey this is keeping me occupied from fretting over my trade and getting out too soon. I still have tremendous respect for the chart and the money.

I have also seen every possible new age video that u-tube has to offer...ask me about pyramids or meditation i dare you. lol

But the best is battle pirates as it takes no/little computer power and can be shutdown instantly when i need to focus...online facebook strategyish game

No problem. Just be careful that game can be VERY addictive. I agree having something to do to occupy yourself with while trading is very useful. It really prevents the early profit-taking which can be really frustrating.

I agree with forexia, I do however hope to continue to become a better trader so i dont need something else to occupy my mind and keep me patient. But for now blowing sh*t up really works

i am learning to play on a recorder ,it can be very challenging to work white the fingers and produce the right sound (its also a good choice).

A recorder is good! I like the tone/sound of it. You might want to check Youtube -- a lot of great performance that you can learn from.
on-line chess is what I do.
