Create My Own Trading System! (Advice)

Hi guys! I wanted to get advice on how to create my own discretionary trading system! I am not in search of the holy grail! I think I stop looking for big foot along time ago! But I want to get advice on how I can create and test my own strategy! Any idea's?

Download MT4 or MT5 from somewhere. Read many strategies. Many strategies available on this website, youtube and so.

Follow any strategy that suits you. Once you locate a strategy, you can backtest it on MT. If you test your strategy on H1, you'll be able to backtest atleast for 3 - 4 months.

I hope the thread will soon be moved to Rookie talk.

Suggest to learn price action based strategies if you don't like the holy grail. However you cannot learn price action overnight. Certainly it will take some time.

You can use an expert advisor to test your trading system. Created expert advisor is the hardest part. But some peoples who understand the computer program creating the expert advisor is not a big deal. If you do not understand about mt4 language you can hire someone to convert your trading system into expert advisor.

download a free mt5 platform(i.e. insta forex or robo)
use h6 or higher timeframes
use 1 oscillator like rsi
use price bands like ema applied to high and low
use one free mt4 platform like fxpro
find some yearly+monthly pivot point indicator
take it easy and just begin from small position , small for accepting the lose and chance of doubling if it fails. for example for any 1500 $ i use 0.01 lot position and i know if i lose i will catch it doubled. just take it easy easy and easy.

to create a trading system you should learn many systems interact with them for a long time with a small real account and in the end you will end with your own system thats for sure .it is long way my friend i am doing this from 2001 i started with rsi and adx systems .i still look at them every while it is the most powerful and easiest system RELATIVE STRENGTH INDEX AND AVERAGE DIRECTIONAL movement INDEX (RSI +ADX)

learn to use them combined and the logic behind them ((it is important to understand how indicator is working ))and start learning more systems you need time but at the end if you are tough enough you will end with your own system .believe me i ended with dozens

Exactly, there is no shortcut, I tried to get it by reading threads but soon I realized that I need some basic to understanding the discussions....
