BlackStack,

Just finished reading all the theory behind the "Chandelier" Trailing - looks interesting.
Needs testing on different TF's.

Thanks !

Hi All,

I have a question:
How much is it fair to charge for a frontal course, explaining this system, about 5 meetings of about 90 minutes each?

Looking forward to your response.

Hi GG,

To be truly honest, even information and tools published here are invaluable. So I cannot imagine what would be the price for your course (if we're talking in terms of money). If you compare course prices sold all over the internet, then this course would cost much more than that. Also there is some perception of certain price different for different people. I don't want to quantify it. I would like to know others' opinions and yours too.

Your "frontal" course would be real gem.

Cheers,
Kapy

Hi all,

Firstly I want to thank you for this great thread, a really promising methodology.

Well, I have been reading you for a while and I have used thes indies you have been publishing. There is one of them known as "CurrencySlopeStrength" that I am testing right now. I have detected that it is repainting, have you experienced the same?.

Thank you!.

Hi to all.
I wonder if we can start a sub-thread regarding 'Mental Toughness to Trading"......aka let the market do its thing and dont interfere with trades placed.

As a greenstick {6 months trading} I find myself entering trades with confidence only to manually overide them alot of the time because they track in the wrong direction early in the piece, panic sets in, a premature close eventuates and the trade goes on to perform in the manner expected.

Im sure the battle wary have already overcome this dilemma.

Any words of wisdom welcome.

Cheers

Hi All.

Can someone please advise me on the Gadi Currencies indicator (v2.7, v.2.8 and v3.0), I can't seem to get it to work on MT4.
I've loaded it in the folder, activated it inside MT4 but nothing is happening. Is there a step I'm missing out on?

Cheers,

H

The EA is sending orders but nothing is happening?? Same thing as last time.... Anybody experiencing this effect?
Ignored
I've spent the last few days reading through this amazing thread and can't wait to see how it continues to evolve! I'm looking forward to the next version of the EA. Thank you to everyone for all of the hard work, especially to gg53 for the wonderful indicators and lessons.

I've tried testing out the EA on my demo account, but have run into this same issue. It looks like orders are being sent but nothing is happening. I read that it may have been a magic number issue, so I thought if I tried running the EA on only one pair it might work. Same thing: orders being sent but no trades taking place. I'm not sure what to try next.

Hi gg53, I’m a little confused on how to best use Gadi_OBV v2.2. I’m using this to help me find break outs of the Asian Session channel on the Frankfurt open. I’ve tried a couple of different settings, but neither of them really does what I was expecting and was hoping you could clarify.

If I set it for 22:00 – 7:00, the channel will correctly capture the highs/lows of the Gadi_OBV throughout the Asian session to the Frankfurt open, but the channel won’t display until an hour after the open which would require manually adding the horizontal lines until they are displayed at 8:00.

If I set if for 22 – 6:00, the channel will display at the Frankfurt open, but it will not capture the highs/lows the Gadi_OBV made during the last hour of the Asian session.

Is it the intent of this indicator strategy to not trade during the first hour after the Gadi_OBV high/low is set?

shresdk,

The Gadi_OBV indicator is built in such a way that it will not display the channel until the preset times is finished.
It will display the channel immediatly when the END time arrived.
If you want to see it before the next bar close - reduce the TF (recommended for H1 is to reduce to M15).

Please note that the Asian session is just a specific, private case, of using this indicator. You can (and should) use it in any area of consolidation - in order to determine the "breakout".

shresdk,

Here is an example of using Gadi_OBV to spot FALSE and TRUE breakouts (not in Asian session).
Usually I don't trade on Fridays (that's another issue...) - unless there are special Forex announcements.
On May 3rd (two weeks ago) there was an un-employment announcement which heavilly affect the USD (if differs from expectations).
Here is my setup on EURUSD M1 - prior to the announcement (which should be on 15:30, my broker time).

Chart #1 - About 10 minutes before the event I draw a "channel" on high/low Gadi_OBV (yellow horizontal lines between the red vertical lines).
Chart #2 - A minute before the event there was an upward "spike" - I didn't fall for that (no announcement yet) - and adjusted the channel accordingly.
Chart #3 - immediatly after the announcement there was a sharp "dive" which broke the "channel". I immediatly entered a short trade (no waiting for bar close).

You can see the results.
Another note: usually after a sharp movement there is a consolidation area - and the price tends to return "home".
Take advantage of that movement too.

Hope this clears the usage of Gadi_OBV in breakouts situation.

Final note on this example: DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME !!
It is very dangerous to trade news and during news announcements !!

G.
