Here is the 15min results. The loss on gbpusd was due to a very late entry as for some reason i did not have that pair running. Had the trade been taken in a timely fashion it was a winner. The EURJPY trade was a touch and go. A wider tolerance would have resulted in the trade not being taken. All in all very promising.

Adding risk based lot sizing will also increase performance if the hit rate stays high. Thus risking .5% or 1% per trade instead of a set lot size. Just my .02

The amount I would risk would depend on the number of pairs being traded. Keep it to a max of 5% for total combined trades.

I would also have an option for the EA to stop trading the consolodation range from the Asian session once the initial trade closes. I am not sure how it is currently configured. If it comes back into the range and breaks out agian, does it take the trade?

No, that's tricky but, can be done... That's on my wish list.

Once the OBV range from the Asian session has been traded once, to me it is no longer a valid range. Perhaps limit it to one buy and one sell in case of a hard reversal.

Hi,

I am trying to do some tests of this EA. On demo account I have balance 5000USD, I set the same in EA and lot size to 0.1.
When running EA I got message not enough balance.

Do you have the same issue ? Maybe there is problem in calculating value of NewMargin ?

Tester: PrevBalance: 5000.00, PrevPL: 0.00, PrevEquity 5000.00, PrevMargin: 0.00, NewMargin: 12991, FreeMargin: -7991.00

Hammondnz,

This is a work in progress. This EA is still in diapers.
We need to filter the Asian session for "non-consolidation" movements and suggest the "spaghetti" indicator to check relevant strength.
MM also should be optimized for breakouts - before working in "production".

Also remember that the "Asian session" is just one, private case, of consolidation (or "Killing Zone") breakout.
We are working on an indicator that will automatically identify those areas - beside the Asian session.

That's the Start-Up that builds an external trading application, that we are working on.
It gets its data from MT4 (othyers will be added later on) - does its magic - and return the results to MT4 - for BUY/SELL suggestions.

We are running it on "test mode" while continuing development - that post was the first results from it.

You should risk a max of 2%-3% of your total equity on each trade.
Max total trades should not exceed 70% of total equity.

the $$$ amount on each trade is based on your Stop-Loss.
The whole calculation of the LOT size should be done automatically by the EA according to the above - with the risk % as an external parameter.

Hi All,

I can confirm that there is a problem when the volume "jumps" out of the boundries and immediatly returns - thus triggering a false entry.
Those false entries reasoning are not visible on the chart because the volume bounces back.

panamike suggestion to widen the boundries (by increasing the percentage) - might solve some of that problem, but will create a late entry on all others.

I think that a better solution is to wait for at least 2-3 consecutive "ticks" of volume breakout for the EA to consider initiating a trade.
Other suggestion/comments on this?

I agree with what you are saying. My point was to make the risk % a user defined variable. I personally risk 2% per trade, but everyone has different risk tolerances. I spoke with imaxi today about this and sent him some code to look at.
