Excuse my ignorance but didn't these trades coincide with the news release "USD New Home Sales"?

If so, isn't this high risk to trade news (wide SL needed and you may get stopped out)?

Please explain.

Technical analysis is not about trading or not trading news. It's about knowing what you're doing. Knowing when to be in the market(news or no news) and knowing when to be out of the market(news or no news!). Some traders I know make lots a pips just trading news volatility. Important thing is to figure out what works for you and what doesn't. The real risk is not about SL. Real risk is not knowing what you're doing.

I see. Well, I guess I got ways to go and will stick to my mega-conservative approach of scalping up to 15 pips per trade using LE1 method + PA, etc. and will be avoiding news for now.

I will start posting trade charts soon... Missed LO/NYO but let's see EJ/AU at TO (7:00 PM EST).

Long EJ CT (CT per 200ema). Took measly 3 PIPs per being afraid of that resistance but the PA on all TF showed a definite long.
