EUR shorts continued to retreat – Rabobank

The single currency remains in the negative ground on Monday, hovering over 1.3050 after hitting session highs around 1.3085 on the Italian election results.

According to the last CFTC COT report, Strategist Jane Foley at Rabobank argued that investors continued to scale back their EUR short positions last week. “EUR/USD remains above the 1.30 handle but speculation about the possibility of an ECB rate cut fueled by comments from Weidmann still lingers”, added Foley.

Regarding the greenback, the expert commented, “USD longs fell slightly again this week but in a historical context they remain strong”.

PS. I am short again 1.3048 adding to another position sl 1.3070 Pull up a daily chart and see if you can see why my stop is there. Get rid of the indicators look at a clean chart..

Ok after analyzing your chart and everything. Get rid of all that crap.

I have a challenge for you: Look at the charts without any indicators.

Look at daily, 4h, hourly, m15, m5 and m1... Get a feel for the flow, see where false candle patterns and how your lagging indicators show valid now of past history but see why they wont work in the current picture.

Weekly Open 1.3070 (last daily bar Open & high) ?

First advice is to look on clean chart?

My stop is above yesterday's high on daily. I am bearish on the whole trend.

Do you have a demo you can practice with? If so you can practice trading charts without indies.

Out of long @48 +10

Reason:

The PA in the relation to 5 & 15 SMA was still a go and so was the RSI3 at +50

However 30 PA entered supply zone and I have another long @ 90 which is 34 pips away

Price Saturation Zone is now 42 so I am happy with this.

Oh JD you could have more pips. Yea take that greed talk and stick it where the sun dont shine.

If Ms Market gives you a spike after wallowing all day take the money and run...

TY goods, I had demo, but I don't know if I'll find the username and password ... basically this is my first real account and I trade really small so I can get the feel of trading real (it's not like in demo really). Will stare at clean charts for a while and I will try to see if I can see.

From what I analyzed on indicators as whole is that they will fake cuz they are based on previous and not future data and the current PA determine where they will be and what they will show later. I made it complicated - simple : they depend on history and not future.

When and how did you decided that you should be bearish?

Daily close above 1.30688 May muddy the water somewhat a hold in the daily then bounce would be great for shorts as long as 1.31286 continues to hold

EUR to consolidate watch E/J in focus

 

  1. The EUR/USD opens Asia within 20 pips of 1.3050 for fifth straight trading day

EUR Techs Head and Shoulder pattern form

 

  1. Sideways consolidation for past couple of weeks around 50 day MA
  2. Head & Shoulders pattern forming with neckline currently just above 1.30
  3. 4hr candle close below the neckline will activate the pattern, targets 128.4
  4. 200 day MA at 1.294 seen as first support after 1.30
  5. Holding below 200 day MA will likely indicate new lows below April 4 low

EUR/USD orderboard

 

  1. On the topside there are offers 1.3080 through to 1.3100, with stops above 1.3105/10.
  2. Bids initially around 1.0345 but larger size 1.0300/20.

We get flash estimates for Eurozone manufacturing PMIs in early Europe later today, France (0700GMT), Germany (0730GMT) and Eurozone (0800GMT) are the most important.

sypher aka Pencho good eve to you sorry man I was running errands and studying for a new Certification for my industry. Anyway... the reason I wanted you to look at those different time frames is because you should from now on use top down analasys, that means taking the bigger picture and looking down to the smaller picture, then you will learn what it means to sell rallies and buy dips. Are you familiar with hearing that? There is a reason why indicators are free. there is a reason why there is a cost associated with learning to trade. What Im trying to do is to get you to think simple.

I am going to help you out a bit more. I want you to go to www.fxdd.com and open a demo account with then. Forget your live account for now even if you trade small. Open a demo with FXDD and start with a $300 demo account. Don't open a huge $100K demo account or anything because then you will just be unrealistic. Let me know once you have done this.

Don't trade till then. I am going to point something out. When you stated the other day you hit the wrong button and bought accidentally instead of selling. lol I have heard that excuse hundreds of time. I even posted excuses like that as well, knowing I was not fooling anyone or myself. I know I sold into buying and I bought into selling. So when you say it was accident get rid of that mentality, eat it up and take it as a man because this is the only way when being true to yourself, that you will find some harmony in the market.

I may sound rough around the edges but I dont want you blowing your money away. we will work at this little by little, you can follow some of my trades and figure out yourself why I am taking them and maybe you will get a feel for the rhythm (buying/selling or accumulation/distribution) of the market.
