in every internet forum we get a warning 95% traders go broke ,only 5% survive ,,but,, in every internet forum we see and hear this many people say they are profitable maybe about 98% only a few people who say that they failed maybe about 2% what do you think guys ? S.C.
if there is something you should keep secret,simply just save it,, so, just

We are humans and most will never admit that they can't do something. Ever heard your friends boasting about something only to find out that they are actually not that good at it? I believe the 95% to 5% figure is true. And almost every success stated in this forum is utter bullshit (at least on a long-term basis).

a Taiwanese research of 900k accounts showed of the big accounts (pros) 19% make money and of small account 3% make it.

You're right about every forum so I think rather than look at those numbers you're better off looking for the common things that all successful traders do for example, strict money management, trading plan based on proven principles etc.
Nobody ever went broke closing a trade in profit

It is not always ok to post links in threads here at FF so i will not do that but if you go to Google and search for this: " us-forex-brokers-account-profitability-comparison " you will find some numbers about the profitability in the accounts at us brokers.
I have nothing to do with the site so i have no idea if the numbers are correct. It can be wrong for all i know. When it comes to trading it seems like most info you find on the web is wrong....

you need to put it into perspective......

75% of people on these forums are trading demo or not at all
23% of people of these forums are trading tiny accounts $50-$1000

trading demo is irrelevant in the statistics.
trading small live accounts is also irrelevant because new traders with small accounts will not pay the account, the trading or the results the respect it deserves and will make irrational and knee jerks decisions because at the end of the day it is just a small account and they don't really care.

and now of course take into account the obvious, most on these forums do not have a clue what they are doing and do not have any kind of proven system or money management, so what do you expect the results to be really?

what is more important is you, will you prove a method./system before you trade it, will you make decisions only according to your proven method, will you adhere to money management, will you pay trading the respect it deserves.

If you are one of the sheep that come along with a small account thinking that they will make loads of money then my advice is stop now and come back when you realise what it is all about, if you are not then stop worrying about percentages quoted in these forums.

I've been a member of a well known trading forum ( not FF ) for about 12 years. Pretty much all the posters from 10 years ago are gone now. Always wonder, did they wash out and move on or just get new alias's

99% of accounts 50 - 10000 loss there money
97% of accounts 10000-50000 loss there money
95%of accounts 50000-100000 loss there money
90%of accounts 100000-200000 loss there money
85%of accounts 200000-300000 loss there money
70% of accounts 300000-500000 loss there money
you want to survive you should trade a 1000000$ account only and u may end with a 45% wining ratio

no ratio is bigger than this

warren buffet lost 2 billion in 2002-2004 in this market in a eurusd trade only

hey tradedly.... it would be nice if the brokers would be required to publish the % successful per year..... a + month is easy, a + quarter slightly more difficult but a + year would give us a much clearer long term picture....

and it's hardly worth mentioning but that reported figure is "accounts" not traders..... some traders, such as me, have many accounts..... so we might be skewing the data somewhat.....

personally i have no idea of the truly accurate figure..... hope it's much better than we think....h

...a solution to your excess vouches is to open another account. For this you will need another email address, or at least a sub-address with different name. Imagine the endless hours of fun to be had trying to re-establish credibility with all the newbies and wanabes.
