eurusd might try and make a run at last week's high 1.3047 before backing off

  1. Mkt holds onto JPY weakness theme as JPY crosses continue ascents
  2. EUR/JPY sees virtually no pullback & looks set to test 126.90/95
  3. EUR/USD takes cue from EUR/JPY & hits new session high 1.3040
  4. March 25 high 1.3050 key s-t, break likely trips stops
  5. Bulls then target 1.3100/10 where the march 15 high & upper 21d Bolli sit
  6. Close above 1.3050 is a bullish engulfing on weekly & a major reversal sign

So you think this area in here where their will be Sunday / Monday pull back is going to start from? How far of a pull back do you think we might get? Wondering because it has come too far with out any kind of good pull back!

Hi Guys,
Would really appreciate if all experienced traders posted possible moves before the actual event. Went short after hitting the pair hit 1.2850 and left for a few hours on coming back, the pair was up to 1.293. Lost all the pips I had made after the ECB announcement.

Those are the million dollar questions.... Man if I knew that I would be rich like Goldman Sucks or Steve...lol

IMO Euro is following the Yen Xs and the bulls are riding E for all they can get so what the tech levels & HSR

I wouldnt place any shorts here unless some bad news hits.

3050 is a good area to watch. From my experience we most of the time seem to get a meltup on late Fridays.

This is is like physics Newtons law "A body in motion stays in motion".

This group in here deals with very short term moves sub hour. I will say after watching them in action they are very good even tho most of the time they are going opposite of the market direction. So you need to take that in view point when you see them short or long because they are only doing very short term moves.

100ticks into the 2930-50 area? i would look also into the 2970 area

maybe we made the high for today at 3039....loosing momentum

Well I am up over 60K on my long so I know if I move my stop to + from below 26 it will get hit on a pull back. But closing out up here and hoping for a pull back that might not happen and we keep on going up and I left. I would be kicking myself for doing that. I really do feel like we have a good pull back fixing to hit. So I am trying to decide what to do before going out to the airport to work on my dad's airplane.

That is me guilty as charged.

I am a hyper scalper primarily. If my trades dont go into the money ASAP then I keep them till they do.

Yep...that is what I see...too...everything is over bough...so we haft to go sideways or down...sideways then up or down to release the pressure that has been put on the market.

From my experience any SL / TS / or open order seems to get hit. Maybe its "stop hunting" for order fills on the opposite side of the trade

When I have made my dough and have to leave I use a TS just like this AM. Saved my ass later as I found out on my short.

This way if it continues to go in my direction then I am good. If it reverses then I am good because I made most of my position.

If it hits my TS and reverses in the bias I had I am somewhat annoyed but GRATEFUL to hell I made something.

case in point went short at 3035 tp at 28 still short 1 watching.. loosing momentum going into weekend may keep it over weekend not sure yet depends on the down stroke if not deep ill get out or put a no-loss stop

I just read quotes of guys getting 40- 50 pips at a go, so it sounds like some people are working on a FX strategies. Also, I'm very new here but I think it'd be great if people actually posted just before or after making a move. That would be very helpful as it would give other member a chance to review and check their current strategies. I don't feel saying "I went long 5 hours ago at 1.2800 and I'm closing the trade +60 pips is very helpful at any particular moment. Would have been better if you said it then, and gave your reason so that other members can actually learn.

Beware this is typical at this time of day.

London closed up shop and NY are going for their 3 martini lunches. (boy I want to join them)

So the consolidation may be misleading. Liquidity has dried up like some old lady.

but most of us here do that as well some may have different accounts separating for longer term and short term trading especially US citizens avoiding FIFO (First In First Out)...hope this helps
