Help with EA mod, please... proof is here

Yes, I have tried it, and it is failing to close any trades. The other threads I've read about this also complain of it only closing longs, and leaving all the shorts hanging, or vice-versa. So I need it as an actual mod...thanks for your question.

How can a system that lost 52% in a day (today) have any credibility? You need a gain greater than 100% now, just to recover. I'm not saying it won't happen, but how can this be a viable system?

I have asked someone to assist to add in the code for close all position. However, i haven't got any reply.

IMO, it will work because RR at least 1:1.
If one of the order trigger SL, the lose amount would be the sum of 1 to 30 value by using arithmetic calculation for SL 30 pips and grid size 1 pips.
So in order to generate RR at least 1:1, pending orders need to be opened at least total 30.

And it would be nice if this could combine with trend indicator.

That loss is shown on purpose to illustrate the EA won't work without the requested mod. The mod would have prevented such a loss...

About the RR, 2080 is terrible if the price moves straight without retrace. I am betting that most of the time the price will range around enough to accumulate more pips than the 80 pip SL X all losing positions would-aka, net profit on equity. You can see the EA did do this after the first big dip, climbing eventually to peak at higher equity than ever before, before falling straight down as the price has moved quite a lot-300 pips up in the last 2 days. The requested mod will stop all trades when the first SL is hit, so when price goes straight like this, by time the EA has set more pending orders, there is a very slim chance the price will go straight to the new 80 pip SL, without making enough profit on the way.

Also, I am wanting to test a variation, using just stop entry orders, with no TP or SL, and just have the EA close at a definable positive equity level. -(This would have made a killing today on EURUSD breakout. )

Has anybody used the above free script? It claims to do what I want it to, can this be implemented into the EA?

I will attempt to run it alongside the makegrid, on a separate demo account, to see how it goes. The EA will be allowed to continue to run, so the script should only close the opened trades, and leave the pending orders open, which I think is ok with the EA.

So modifying the Take Profit logic will stop losses like yesterday and today (another 70+%) Hmmm...I wonder how that can be coded?

You just keep making it up as you go along. That's what curve fitting is all about.

Where did I say TP logic?
The requested mod originally was only to close all trades when the first SL was hit, which is set for 80 pips. The TP is 20 pips. The EA has trades opening, both buys and sells, every single pip. This means if the price goes past -80 pips to -90 pips that's a whole lot more realized loss (-935 pips!) than if all trades, including losers, are closed when one of them hits -80. Having a 80 pip SL and 20 pip TP allows the price to move within an 80 pip range with no losses, and many 20 pip TPs being cashed in. The longer it ranges between the SLs, the more equityprofit I get. Once the 80 pip range is broken, all trades must be closed to avoid the extreme loss if price continues more negative. The little secret is my orders are every pip, instead of 10 pip or 50 pip grids, so if price goes 25 pips in a straight line, 5 trades close with 20 pip TP, which is 100 pips net profit. And their are 25 trades with negative equities ranging from -1 pip to -25 pips. Most of the time price doesn't move 80 pips in a straight line, so I would be good with mod...my explorer shows it is bad without mod, while also showing with enough ranging it can regain more than half the lost account balance, as shown previously. I admit the account may have lost too much balance to recover at this point. With the mod the losses would have amounted to -$300 loss, leaving $700ish in account to start over with, and when restarted, the EA would have come really close to SL again, but regained most of lost balance, and start making profits from the retraces of the NFP move.

True you started off asking for SL mod, but several days ago you changed your mind. Good luck trying out your other idea, but I don't see a system like this ever working.

Hey! What happen to your trade explorer? You trade live account instead of demo?

It couldn't trade anymore, because losses were too heavy. The equity sentry EA I posted seems to be doing what I want, so I don't need help anymore. Thanks, though.
