Forexlive.com reporting EUR stop loss sells below 1.2750 and of course if that happens ej could easily get dragged down to the Feb lows 119 give or take.

Hello Dave, I just wanted to know if you consider Supply and Demand levels along with your current strategy ? Lately, I've been hearin about S&D a lot and just wanted to know your view..

I suspect I could be completely wrong and have not looked at it closely enough but follow my thoughts. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, sounds like a duck - its probably a duck. The SD guys say its not the same as SR levels but heck whenever they post a chart it sure as heck looks like SR to me.

I just use the methods mentioned, with the basis from the 2 grails of trading, SR levels and trend. There is nothing new in trading, repackaged, new name perhaps but not new.

Recap 28 Mar

EUR - D negative close, 4hr flow lower high lower low, no divergence, bias down.
Result: Move down in line with bias around London open. Previous days low held, decent bounce higher.

GU - Small D negative close back below our 8lwma and RSI crossed lower, hardly a strong close though. 4hr lower high lower low in play, no divergence, bias down.
Result: Did move down but no real follow through lower from the previous weak D close.

EJ - D negative close, 4hr lower high lower low with a bounce from the weeks low. Bias down.
Result: A nice move down around London open in line with bias. A big doji on 1hr with divergence at the recent lows signaled a move up.

Hello Van

I'm not much clear concept of PA,I have read some to the google but it seems I'm still obscure about HH HL.We are trading based on flow of trend daily to lower TF and there is need Cristal Clear HH HL concept.Please teach PA in your words with your charts.

I second Frank. Yes, I have tried to search Google but could not find any satisfactory solution. Van, please post a clear indication of which Higher High or Higher Low etc. we have to look for, how they look, how to identify them? I have been looking into the charts posted in this thread but I couldn't identify how you guys are recognizing them as there are Arrows with almost all the candles but you are considering few of them.

I know you are a busy person but I am requesting you to make a post on which Factors we should look for in a chart for possible trade set up? I am thinking of making some points which I will look for before entering a trade. It has to be numbered like at first I have to look for is there any 3 bar reversal in the min-15 chart or not, then what to look for in the 1 hr chart, at that moment what will be the condition of the ma and so on.
These are like Conditions which have to be fulfilled for a set up being eligible of a possible trade. I am wanting to become Disciplined in this manner.
I believe your little but significant help can make it possible.

One more request is if you and others who are posting their charts here could indicate the chart in your post what you guys are talking about. Like if you are saying "4hr flow lower high lower low" then give it a number like "1. 4hr flow lower high lower low"and in the chart where it has occurred also number it '1'. Thus we, the novice can easily understand exactly what you guys are indicating. Just a few charts. Then we will become habituated and can recognize these by ourselves promptly.

Please consider my Requests.

EUR GU EJ 2 Apr

EUR - D closed positive and we have crossed the 8lwma and RSI its signal line. 4hr made a higher low yesterday and 1hr on higher high higher low flow. We have stopped at the Dec lows/W pivot potential resistance level, the Asian session struggled to break Fri's high which is not uncommon. 1hr is showing negative divergence. Can go either way today, at the moment our 4hr and 1hr suggest flow up. This can be a rally in downtrend but as flow is up at the moment we need our counter trend rules to kick in. We are at a resistance level/W pivot, have 1hr divergence and looks like we have a 5hr stall so the potential is there for a sell.

GU - Very similar picture to EUR D closed positive, 4hr and 1hr flow up, 1hr negative divergence. Stopped at the Jun low resistance level. can go either way today.

EJ - D neg close below RSI 50 level. 4hr 1hr flow down. Bias down.

OK the above pic is suggesting that the D is in uptrend and the 4hr is doing its usual thing of higher low higher high the classic definition of an uptrend. Can you see the waves, the flow higher, it should be clear. The concept if in an uptrend buy the dips in uptrend and if in downtrend sell the rallies.

Thats why looking at todays analysis on EUR I don't know if we are at start of uptrend (I highly doubt that though) or merely having a rally in downtrend. At the moment the 1hr flow/waves are higher high higher low. So on the 1hr we are moving up. If I want to sell against the 1hr flow I need to see my CT sell rules come into play.

Here is the EUR 1hr with the 3 bar reversal indi on it. On a lot of charts there are arrows all over the place. You would focus on the arrows that are either reverting to trend or giving counter trend signal i.e. CT rules to apply - key SR level/W pivot, higher TF divergence, price proving over hrs that it doesn't want to go further.

The same chart with arrows up and x's showing the higher lows and higher highs.

Pls remembering the 3 bar reversal arrow up goes under the candle that follows the signal candle, its nailing all these moves up every time.

Have a look again at the pics in the first post of the 1 2 3 top/bottom reversals. Thats what you should be looking for on 1st trade and from there its the HH HL or LH LL flow as per the above EUR example.

Then in general follow until the flow clearly reverses.

Please see blog MTF analysis post http://vantagefx.blogspot.com/2012/1...ulti-time.html and there are 1 or 2 similar http://vantagefx.blogspot.com/2012/11/question.html they should give a good idea what I am looking for in D analysis. Then look at counter trend rules for going against the trend.

Hi Van Higher high,higher low is up trend and lower high lower low is down trend right.Q is if 4h TF is making LH LL and then 5th bar does not makes LH,makes insider bar then how to deal with that bar?date 26/03/13 4h chart 5th candle insider bar,(chart upload problem). Regards frank

First of all look at the time of day, late US/Asian session so 1st answer ignore it. Otherwise look for a support that we can move up from and it certainly seems possible a base around 1.3135-50. Then you need to assess whether its within your CT rules to buy or if you will leave and wait for trend to resume. There are some that are brilliant with inside bar trades (I'm not one of them much preferring engulfing closes). Its quite possible that I'd have regarded those inside candles as weak (no engulfing close, so no break beyond the immediate range) so no buy.

In this case if you did buy the engulfing negative close that followed certainly should have gotten you out of the trade if not stopped out already and looking for a sell in resumption of trend.

Nothing will keep you out of losing trades (even if you had a no CT trade policy as trend trades will also fail) but in this resumption of trend trade the win/wins should have far exceeded the loss.

Result: Lower high after divergence played out with a move lower. Lots of lower wicks made entry difficult.

Result: Lower high after divergence, move played out with clean candles (no lower wicks).


EJ - D neg close below RSI 50 level. 4hr 1hr flow down. Bias down.
Result: Down bias did not play out, there was lots of warnings with lower wicks on 4hr and 1hr.
