Dislikedforex isnt a scam...but it does perplex me sometimes why I cant get my ea to take a trade when on demo it takes it like no ones business. ..hmmmm......I do think some of its manipulated...Also, the market does seem to go all over the place at times. I see patterns that dont fit rational behavior..but; all in all in a cash based business...someone has to win and someone has to lose. Better you than me, I say.Ignored

DislikedIve been trading for +2 years now,and i can only say that forex is most manipulated legal scam there is going.I have seen my share of events in forex that many would scratch their heads, but recent event where crude oil dropped more then 11$ in 5 days time beats everything in market manipulation, and no i didn't trade crude or brent when this happened.I keep coming to forex with different attitudes ,strategies, but at the end its the central banks and government who decide which direction euro goes, what devalues, and what gains, over to years i made...Ignored

DislikedThe truth is that RETAIL FOREX represents only 5% of the Whole FOREX MARKET.
Thus, it's easy for MARKET MAKERS to move a few pips against you, whenever they want and many other things that could manipulate the market in their favour.Ignored
DislikedI agree in the 1/2 pips 2 pips max deal... But can you explain a least one thing that market maker could do to "manipulate" "the market" in their favor?? I could be interesting to know. J.Ignored
As I said, RETAIL FOREX, represents ONLY 5% of the whole Forex Market, its a very small portion of the whole business.
Serious Traders use ECN Forex Brokers, and NOT Retail Forex Brokers. Unfortunately, 90% of traders in this forum are probably using a RETAIL FOREX Broker, since their ADS and Banners to join them are all over the Web... If you have luck, you will find 1 in 100 banners of the internet, belong to ECN, while 99 belong to RETAIL FOREX Brokers. I think its PRETTY Clear. Even a blind person, would figure it out.
Just do a Google Search for Forex, 95% of ADWORDS Paid Campaigns, belong to RETAIL FOREX Brokers, The Market Makers, who ONLY represent 5% of the whole Forex Business.
An ECN broker will charge commissions and not have a Dealing Desk like RETAIL Forex Brokers do.
With an ECN Broker, your order is passed directly to the market. Market Makers (Retail Forex) do not do that. If they did, then they'd be ECN's.
The term Market Maker refers to the fact that they make their own market. In other words, their prices are artificial, created by them, and not the actual prices of the market that you would see through an ECN Broker. That's why prices will vary from one Market Maker to another, because they're not actual market prices, but ones created by the broker for their clients.
If a Market Maker thinks you are too good a trader, then what they will do is put you on manual execution, which means that your orders do not get executed instantly via their computer system, but they go through a trader at their Dealing Desk who manually puts it through. This causes delays and makes sure that the Market Maker can take a position against you.
As I said, I would recommend that if you can, Trade using an ECN or you can trade the Futures Market instead of Forex, the E-Mini S&P 500, and/or use Retail Forex only for small mini/micro accounts that you use to develop your trading Skills. If you are going to do this on a serious Level and for a living, I would recommend joining Serious Brokers.
Just my two cents.
