Guys, Just a quick round up of today's EU action while I'm bored at work.

In hindsight a very straight forward day with a heavy drop from a closed gap and no solid higher time frame demand... If you tried to pick a bottom or even play a bounce off any lower time frame demand zone you would have been killed today.

I'm already aware that these strong trending days are where I struggle as those lower TF demand zones can be very enticing. Unless you're in the move early on with a locked short you can get your ass handed trying to counter scalp on a day like this.

M5 chart and entry of the day was of course the minor S/R retest after gap rejection. I noticed a few here catch this great flip.

Yep, that's another way you could view it with higher time PA.

The main thing is as S&D scalpers is to not stand infront of a move like this. On slow ranging days you can play almost every M5 / M15 level long or short and rack up the pips.

Yes thats my problem i cant play straight days like today when on solid zones from H4 and D1 are PA bars on M5 but dont working ... dont know how to play these days there are engulfs in trend direction but without retreacement so cant find anything in trend .... hate these days... today a blow everything i made last week...

I've been having an inner look at my trading and have realized that 2 out of 3 days I do very well. It's those 1 out of 3 very strong trending days like today where I trend to give back a lot of profits with too much M5 / M15 focus.

The only thing I can suggest is not to counter tend scalp at all since it's not always possible to know when price is going to flip from ranging to trending. Although you will get far fewer S&D opportunities scalping with the higher time trend, you can add S/R entries to get on board a trend rather than fighting against it.

There are other clues to watch for as well such as arrival into higher time frame S&D or confirmed price action around a key S/R area. Of course big news like NFP can move price rapidly in one direction.. And rejection from gaps.

Today was a similar day than a few days ago when a was losing huge with shorting GU... today however i switched the coin when my EURAUD long trade wasnt working and i got stopped out, so I sold EURUSD at the next best S/R flip level and it worked like a charm, so ended the day with +.
