Something to think about. These calls called the down trend almost to the day....

In last night's weekly missive the cycle gurus forecast that the short term EUR/USD downtrend is over - or will be very soon. "The cycles argue the first half of April should see the European currencies strengthen" they say quite confidently ... "EUR/USD may have just formed the medium-term low expected around this time, but it is more likely the low is reached between Friday (tomorrow) and early next week. There is a risk it spikes to as low as 1.2725 before bottoming, but we are starting to doubt it will prove that weak"

Following this low the euro should turn higher. Now, it will only take a close above 1.3020 to turn the outlook positive" Our stuff tends to concur with the cycle gurus; as we noted last week the day before a 2 big fig pull back in EUR/USD, 1.2910/60 was oversold for 8 of the 15 components M/A of our rudimentary M/A model between 1.2910/60; spot bottomed at 1.2911 and was paid 1.3107 within 48 hours. This week our model shows 10 of 15 components are oversold between 1.2834/88 and with the exception of one outlier (1.2773) everything from 24-hrs to 77 days was oversold. Only 4 components fell outside of that, all long term- 100-days thru 55 weeks. This tells us a pull back is on the cards and 1.3100/1.3200 looks like the pullback area with an outside shot at 1.3270. Our blended model flattens out at between 1.3180/1.3240 (-1 to +1) and is extremely vulnerable to a pullback being the maximum 15 units EUR/USD short. Ultra-short term model turns fully long 1.2945, short term model 1.2995, medium term 1.3240. This tells us that a good sized pullback is in the offing. If they're right and we break above 1.3020, the cycle gurus say "The euro is then headed higher into the week of April 8 or the following week and our target for this up-move will become the 1.3225 area." This handily dove-tails in with our analysis above and we believe is the more likely scenario. The cycle gurus do caution however "There is a risk the strength expected into the middle of April proves aggressive, which would signal the start of a sustained rally lasting through the fall, but at this point it is our less likely scenario." Before anyone gets too carried away on the possibility of impending EUR/USD strength they have further comments re medium term prospects "Provided this target area holds (1.3225) the downtrend will resume into early May and this overall weakness could last up to several months longer. Our further objective for the downtrend is the 1.2425 area.". So, book some profits, look for a pop to fade is the basic strategy. Our black box friend Brian told us this AM "Thought this interests you Peter. today's 50 and 100 day average targets are exactly the same at 1.3222, the 253 day just turned negative, barely. We are wildly oversold, I see 3000 tomorrow, hopefully". So three separate analyses, similar pullback conclusions - food for thought.

Amen Steve. The only reason I posted this was because these guys called the sell off a while back almost to the day.

Their TA doesnt take into account the Sh*t meeting Fan. Cyprus and Italy are wildcards not counted their soup.
