DislikedI've had to ask myself this question many times. In fact, every time I read a post by a proponent of some strategy or system I always try to figure out their motivation. In this kind of environment, you just have to, otherwise you fall prey to in what is the best case deceptive marketing and at worst straight up fraud. When there's a fee involved I automatically lose a lot of respect for someone's advice, as the old argument stands - if they were so good at trading, why would they want to sell me something? That even goes for widely respected users...Ignored
DislikedThis is like asking your science teacher from middle school why isn't he building a rocket if he is so good and knowing what is 1 + 1 = 2, yeah?
But rocket scientist know what equals 1+1.Ignored
DislikedSo what the aspiring trader should spend on his/her trading education should equal the expected result ==> Zero.Ignored
DislikedBy that argument most aspiring traders should be the ones being paid. The expected result for the vast majority of traders is certainly not zero.Ignored

DislikedHe claims to not feel this way but I've always had the same impression. He even has a mock journal "in pursuit of the margin call". Debbie Downer if I've ever seen one.
I think you misunderstood my post, but I don't really care anyway.Ignored
Disliked==> @ Hanover, Yes all training is a waste of money.
==> @ Kanzler, I understood your post. The operative words are: SPEND NOTHING on training. Note that this web site is a marketing tool to direct the gullible to paid services.
Not a mock journal. It's real. One day I will get that Margin Call .. and beyond ... as I sink deeper and deeper like everyoe else (lose job, house, family to the forex), do you think I am really different than anyone else working very hard on being profitable? Not sure if you are a native english speaker, there is...Ignored
Dislikedgo to the casino if that's your attitude. stop fucking around and just get to the end result sooner rather than later. save yourself all the drama in the middle and go bust-out in style, or walk away as one of the lucky few who quits while they are ahead when they have a lucky night out on the town at the casino.
it's like someone studying to be a chef so they can expect to cook shitty food and make no money, or an art student hoping to some day make truly terrible sculptures that everyone mocks.

DislikedThis is another fallacy.
Various analogies have been found that attempts to explain the reason for buying some training that will teach the forex space cadet to be successful.
Trading has absolutely nothing to do with "rocket science", or medicine, or engineering and so on..
Yes, if you want to be a doctor you have to spent tons of money on education. Why? because the barrier to entry is very high AND the material is based on scientific, proven facts, so it is expensive because IT WORKS.
Trading has a very low barrier to entry AND is based on...Ignored
DislikedI have to agree. I never understand why some people in FOREX say: "well, if a doctor spends 10 years in university, then you should spend 10 years learning forex"...
Every time I read that, I think that they are FULL of BULLS..T... for the simple fact that a Doctor gets a degree and has a guarantee that he will make money, while a FX trader has no quarantee.. the trader can even spend 20 years in trying to learn, and he will have no guarantee, that he will make money in the end, because like you say, Trading is based on suggestive, non-proven,...Ignored
