What off shore broker would you recommend?
Where can i open off shore bank account without leaving my desk?

Need to mention where you are.
What is Offshore to you could be land for me.

Being in the European Union, for Banking you could look into Andorra.
But for Brokers, the EU has the best options. I would not recommend any Broker
in some tax/Fiscal heaven place.

Well why not just open an account with an unregulated broker from some shite little island ie Cyprus, Mauritius, Seycelles etc, thats offshore.

Seriously though not sure why you would want a broker that is offshore from the UK/EU as they are usually unregulated. There are plenty of decent brokers and banks to choose from right here. Unless you have a few hundred thousand what would the purpose?

Why not open an account with Dukascopy as they are a bank and a broker or a decent broker that I use is Lmax which I think is alot safer than some bucket shop.

Sorry, I didn't open mine online. I did in person as I live in Germany. I forgot that part of your requirement.

You could have a look at Dukascopy as you should be able to open a account online through them I would have thought.

so how to keep low profile?

You sound more like a drug dealer than a trader/investor. Why do you want to keep a low profile? I use an off shore bank account for my company accounts and company tax purposes not to keep a low profile. Do you think your government is keeping track of every persons little domestic bank account? I doubt it.

The best place to open a offshore bank account is Singapore. Canada and Australia are great too and much safer than any bank in Europe/USA. You will have to go in person though but if you are serious about this then it won't be a problem. As for offshore brokers, there are plenty of very well regulated and very solid brokers in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and Canada.

I assume you are looking to stash away some money in a place where the tax man can't see them ? The way it is usually done is through an offshore company because:

1. If you are a citizen of an EU member country you can't just go and open a secret bank account in Luxembourg or Switzerland - it would probably still be possible if you had some serious cash but then we are talking xx millions.

2. You don't want to place your hard earned money in some obscure bank in a third world country - then you might as well just give them to the tax man.

3. An offshore company can open a bank account in Luxembourg or Switzerland ... And you could be the lucky owner of that company. If you are looking for a cheaper solution Panama could be a useable alternative.
