I think that Dukascopy is good for scalping because they offer very tight spreads.

This is right, but IB charges $ 2.5 minimum per trade; MBT - $ 0.01.
IB charges 2 basis points vs. MBT's 0.295, but keep in mind that MB rebates commissions for limits orders, i.e. for both limits orders per trade it'd be 1.95 credit, which means only 1 basis point of commission as a fee + spread.
MB seems like a better choice for a smaller account because of min. $ 2.5 fee.
MB also seems to have lower costs for traders who use primarily limit orders.

In your list best one is MB Trading. However, their leverage is tight.

I'm not with familiar with the API thing though....can you use common order entry platforms like Ninjatrader etc. with Lmax through API ?

I have had a very positive experience trading with IB. They are a top notch broker but for the more sophisticated trader (not scalpers). I am hoping they upgrade their back end systems at some point though as they are a little archaic.

Otherwise Oanda or MBT are good on your list.

I do not think any US brokers offer hedging at this time due to fifo regulations; you would have to do that with an overseas broker correct me if I am wrong. But what traders only use one broker - must be very loyal clients lol.

I found this thread really interesting even though I am not from US, but has given me food for thought for finding a more suitable broker for scalping. Thanks for the valuable comments

Would someone care to explain how a broker trades against it's account holders? I've heard stories of Oanda doing such.

If it's EURUSD your trading ICMARKETS has the lowest average spread, only 0.1 pips. Great for scalping

Right but Australian broker, does anybody knows if foreign trader have to pay taxes in Australia? if i open an account with ICMARKETS?

I think Alpari is the best. Been trading with them for almost a year now and still going strong. Love their platform esp. mt4.

Not sure if I should post this here but I use FXCM and IBFX. I perfer FXCM for fast order executions and their Trading Station II over the MT4 platform.

i think Exness are the best in scalping i used many brokers and if you use a smart phone it will be better i use my smart phone tight spreed and fast execution there metatrader is little rough so i am enjoying analysis in my desktop and using my smart phone application for scalping they also offer high leaverage tight stop loss down to one pip and you never get hunted .some time spreed may get big but that is rare .have a nice day

i see u area considering oanda which is a market maker so might i suggest going with mahifx if you really want low spreads. their spreads are instanely tight, but also they not have any commission. although not very big at the moment, but does have potential.

I use FXCM and Armada Markets, have a small account with GFT as well. Armada has one of the best spreads and execution speed out there. FXCM is just reliable. GFT has a lot of exotics you can play with.

I'm using Armada Markets for scalping strategy. Spread + commission are the lowest, never get problem to scalp in a high impact news,.

FX pro has ctrader, which is a great platform for scalping. But the commissions are quite high and it doesn't allow you to place trades smaller than a mini lot.
