most can keep funding 10-50-100 USD to keep trading when lost
do you think STP brokers are trading those trades through real STP.
ofcourse not.
they have a pool fro those trades. they collect them in pool & trade against the trader.
at the end it does not matter. but this how it works

this how DD ( Dealing Desk ) brokers work.
they trade against their clients.
when you have open a SH broker opens a LG to hedge. trader pay the costs.
STP ( straight through process ) is electrnically connected system to liquidation providers means banks.
in STP there should be no reverse trade. but can you imagine a STP broker is using real STP for all 0.01 trades

at the end this doesn not make your trade LOSS. ( in general )
the issue is the costs.
DD system replaced with STP STP/ECN or NDD systems to prevent from Requote
but this bring its own issue which is slippage.
here is the deal
missing a trade with requote
or
paying more with slippage.
there is also a middle selection.
STP broker with instant execution.
means
they fill your trade. but wih the limitations fo your set.
if slippage is > then your set value trade requotes means not fills.
those are th honest brokers
