I felt not comfortable when seeing 2 trades this morning closed in few seconds due to possibly mistake by the traders. Hope it won't happen again in future.

I have an account with lmax , they offer MT4 , how to set this up ?

There were no mistakes. Sometimes trades need to be exited immediately upon opening based on current information. I call these 'feeler' trades. About 10% of the time i do this. The other 90% it's staright open and let the market decide. it's all part of the strategy.

2. MT4i - but has minimum of $5000



zulu doesn't include lmax

currensee has recently been approved but not sure when they will make me trade leader. But like zulu, they dont' accept all mt4 brokers and no lmax either

Have to restart my zulutrade. Thinkforex demo charting missing too much information too frequently. It doesn't even come close to my actual performance.

I have a question about your returns for February. According to MT4i.com you have a 21.2% return. Your OANDA statement figures to a return of 6.23% (1800.17/28916.08).

Why such a large discrepancy? Are you trading your Nocturnal method on only a portion of your account?

6.2% is the actual return and I traded the same system.

MT4i based their return on initial deposit i believe. Since oanda only keeps 100 days of account history-it really messes up the numbers. I mean you can see that my january's return is obviously not over 3 Million% return. I would've owned half the galaxy with that.

Some other MT4 based site like fxstat doesnt' do that-they look at monthly start/end instead and you can see that here.

there will still be some minor differences since MT4 treats swaps like deposits/withdrawals.

With MT4i you should not use it to gauge my % performance- Although $ performance is correct! (few cents off due to swap issues as stated above)

Myfxbook now has trade copy service, although i think since they haven't made the announcement yet on their blog, i think they are working on some bugs..

One of the bugs is of course NOT ACCEPTING NOCTURNALFX into their list of systems..I mean come on...

Their site says you need an average win of >10 pips. and my avg win pips is> 10 pips.

So we'll see what happens. Already submitted a complaint.

Today, MT4i and FxStats got your trade - Zulutrade wasn't trading at all.

Yea that was my bad. I realized that I logged on to my investor login on the hotforex account after the trade was done-so the trade didn't go through. Good thing it was only a 5 pip gain.

But everything should work now.

however i have few questions that i'm curious if anybody knows the answer to here while i'm waiting for their support to respond

1. I don't get why every trade leader has two invest buttons. One for 1:1 leverage (same as trade leader's) and the other is double leverage. I was told that you can adjust your leverage in your portfolio. so why have it on the front end like this?

2. WHy is there a minimum investment account for 1:1 and 2:1 leverage. I dont' get why with double leverage i need half the capital as 1:1 leverage (WTFF??) If you can adjust it in your portfolio-why not just stick to one investment minimum since it's all relative??

I was gonna leave you alone but since you seem to take jabs at my recent performance-let's discuss it here

1. My system's worst drawdown is about 25%-my overall gain is 130% at the moment
This gives me a calmar ratio of 5.2. Accoriding to billionaire trader Paul Tudor Jones-that's a great ratio

(for those who dont' know-Calmar ratio is one of the best ratio to judge a trader's performance. I don't give a shit if a trader controls his drawdown into single digits-if he can't outperform his drawdown by factor of 2-he is just like the rest)

2. Your system worst drawdown is 10% (feb 20) and your best return thus far is 4% (i'm rouding it up for your benefit)
This give you a calmar ratio of 0.4. This means you're not even outperforming your worst drawdown.

Drawdown is relative my friend. I trade aggressively and i made that clear on my website under The system tab. To me, i can accept aroudn 30% drawdown and still be fine. In fact my backtests shows that I would go throuhg periods of drawdown.

It is VERY bold to say that i will implode in the next six months-and very arrogant to say that you will outlast me. But at the same time very interesting challenge you brought up. I'll continue to grind this period so let's just wait and see shall we?

I was fine staying in my own thread. You ventured over and started a war. We shall wait and see TPOtrader. You mentioned that you were done with our thread, and so I made it official.

You currently have more time on myfxbook in comparison to us, it will be interesting to see what happens. And believe me, I will be posting about it. As I feel it is important for potential subscribers to understand the dangerous risk when subscribing to a low R:R system such as yours.

You make adjustments to your system, tweaks, to fit it into a mold of past results. This as well is like playing with fire. Forward testing and results are what this game of trading is all about. After some of your changes, your system is suffering.

Our system, much like other long term sustainable systems, can handle the market changes, and still come out breakeven or positive. Why? Because we only need to be right 33% of the time. You see, our system goes back and forth from a 50% win rate to a 35% win rate. When it is near 33% we breakeven, as you have seen recently, our win rate increase, the profits come rolling in, I am referring to our recent 10% increase. Think of it this way, a coin can land on heads 3x in a row, however as the number of flips increase, the probability of successive wins above 4 greatly decreases.

To the traders here...

TPOtrader is experiencing a DD simply because his R:R is only 1:1 at best. Reading through his thread, he adjusts his system according to past results, this is dangerous. He is down 20% from the high, and it will be very difficult for him to sustain long term without a higher R:R. We have seen many traders come and go who are just like him. Impressive results in the short term, only to blow up 1 quarter later.

In 6 months you will see us still here, chipping away at the market while TPOtrader is picking up the pieces from a blown system...

I would say "Good Luck" but I know luck wont help you at this point.

what adjustments are you talking about??? PLEASE show me evidence that i made changes to my system. This is the same system that i have backtested.

pardon my intrusion but "flat equity curve"/ periods and drawdowns are I guess a natural aspect of trading. He's not doing that bad even with the current "grind".

There's nothing wrong with a profit factor of ~1. I know some guys who trade negative R/R's succesfully (which is against conventional/traditional trading wisdom but in trading; there's a lot of "ways to make bread" so to speak..... l If you've got the accuracy why not you know? Here's a Losing streak calculator (courtesy and copyright of daytradinglife.com; no copyright infringement intended all rights reserved etc etc) Tpot's @ 56% accuracy thus far on myfxbook.. now that'd make 44% losing trades. It's still within the means of "probable probability" to have until 6-7 losses in a row (or a variation of it; using an average of 100 trades); that's where TPOt's at the moment..-ish with his "grind".


Another sheet from the same source as the previous... a trading simulator (MCS as its "formula/base) using TPOt's accuracy and a payoff R of "1" you do see "grind periods". just for a note. + If you compare it to a chart of a market instrument with an equity curve; it could just be a "pullback-period" prior to a continuation in trend (which is at the moment looking "up")

It's only been the first week of the month really (if you exclude the 1st last friday); markets are choppy and ranging; normal prior to events like the NFP; and taking a look at his results on months like December '12 being a powerfully positive one; respect where it's due; man I got my ass whooped in December.

Maybe the choppy markets are flaring up some "discussion"? well once trends play again and volatility re-enters the arena; everything will "play as it should"
