If any traders wondering if pepperstone just smoked your stops on AUD/USD just now on the hour just gone, you are correct. I'm not trading with them but using their charts. That 218.5 low it just put in now on their 0.00 bar to take out the previous 221.2 low, should only have got to about 243.7. I'd be taking it up with them

I could be wrong on this since I didn't have an order in place that could have been triggered by that quote, but it appears that no stops would have executed regardless of the quote printing that price since it happened within that 5 minute period that execution is suspended to observe the day's end and bank rollover (5:00PM to 5:05PM EST.)

Had the spreads widened like that for rollover a few minutes earlier, maybe it would be a different story.. but MT4 would just mark the trade in yellow and when execution returned (post 5:05PM) the condition to trigger a stop down there wouldn't have been met so the trade would remain in tact.

Again, I didn't have an order at a level down there myself so I can't say first hand it was left untouched, but I suspect it orders down there were fine.

Anyone else having trouble seeing the 4 new pairs in their market watch?
Have emailed customer services but maybe someone here knows the solution

As per the instruction I right clicked on market watch and clicked show all. Also looked in symbols, FX exotics.

I am using a Razor account 4.00 build 438.

I am guessing the spreads will be big but I would still like to take a look.

Thanks for the reply ehrek,

The reason is because they are not available for the old Razor account which I am still using, only for Edge razor accounts.

Those of you that have tried both types of accounts, what do you prefer?

I understand that with the Edge server it has One Click Trading, Market Depth, new and deeper liquidity pools, lower spreads and 21 new exotic currency pairs to trade.

How have you found using it?

Are the commission charges the same?

I found your post very useful, thank you Ehrek.

I'm a EUR:USD man all the way, but your method to "show all" has helped me to see what is available.

Thank you,

Phil

At the moment it comes down to how you're trading or more importantly when you're trading. If you're not in any hurry perhaps you should wait another week or two. There is some background activity going on.

I am not in any hurry to change unless the edge spreads and commissions are much better.

I am mostly trading D1 candles these days at just before 10PM GMT but also some intraday trading.

Can you elaborate on the background activity?

Can't yet, sorry. Not under recently enforced posting rules around here. That's why I asked if you can wait.

You will be fine trading D1 candles at just before 10PM though, or in fact doing any manual trading at odd times.

LOL, Nothing has changed. Same thread same people, newcomers here and there. Shared concerns are necessary like it or not. May be something on your end maybe on theirs. That is what forums are for, to help us figure it out.

Hope you get it solved. Been reading around and some seem to be having issues with EAs. If they give you the service they gave me you should be all set. Just give it some time and some back and forth.

Do keep us updated good or bad.

ve

Sure no problem.

If it aint broke ......... I have been happy with the current Razor server/account I am using, no disconnections, fast execution so I really do not want to cause myself any problems just so that I can have access to trading a few more pairs.

If after doing a lot more reading and research I decide to give the Edge server a try and I get problems (I assume you are having problems primi) then I can always change back to the server I am currently using.

You can't, once done it's done. Some have managed, but... Personally i never asked to go back. Edge standard account is better than older one, once my issues where resolved.

But don't blame me if you decide to switch, lol. Like you said, if it ain't broke, well... Wait a bit as Primi said.

Hi friends,

How much do you get charged for withdrawal via international wire transfer? The website states $20, but I got charged an extra $40 ($60 in all) and I have confirmed with my bank that they have not applied any charges for inward remittance. Customer care states they have charged $20. I guess there is an intermediary bank involved but am not sure on whose end it is.

Yes good points, thanks for your input.

I am reading through the thread and currently at page 64 mostly reading posts regarding Edge which started last August.
There was talk then of all Pepperstone clients having to move to the Edge server, is that likely to happen in the future?

Do you have any idea of the % of Pepperstone clients still on the original server and the % using Edge?

sup guys,

I posted in this thread long ago..just wanted to say that I've been trading with pepper for the past few months, and other an instance of their servers freezing a few weeks ago, its been pretty smooth sailing. Great spreads, fantastic execution (at least for a guy living in Asia with a shitty internet connection) and they make good on their promise to refund money in case the technical glitch is their fault.

Just wanted to know why so many people complain of slippage/poor executions speeds...are a lot of you involved in scalping or high frequency trading? If so, you're not going to get your ideal execution speeds from any forex broker tbh...

I find the minor levels of slippage to be just as many times in my favor as against. That is, when my scalps hit my take profits, I almost always get a better price than the set TP I had set.

I don't have problems with Pepper, but I'm sure that I'd deal direct with them if I ever had a concern that was real.
