yes i understand what you are saying. Glad you have found something that works for you. I dont sit by computer all day either just have to hope that some setups are there when i get home from work just as london opens. Seems ok. Day off today so just looking at the posts thats all. Im not clever enough for all the complicated indis. gets me to confused. I hope you are getting plenty of setups. I might have to try and see about getting it on dealbbok if anyone knows if its possible?

This is nothing different from what your doing. Just some arrows on the 1hr to alert you that the setups are coming.... then drop to the 5min and do your thing. You can load a demo if you can't get meta with your broker...set them up on the demo. I've got 1 trade already (2:1) on E/U and in the second. It may hit the B/E...we'll see. I expect close to 2:1 on this one....leg 1 is 19 pips....it's doing leg 3. Should be about the same or a little more. It could come crashing down so I don't have a tp in place. We'll see.

Update: 2 - 2:1 wins, 1 B/E.....1 of the 2:1's I scaled out at 3:1 and it's still running. 5min tf.

Looks like E/J is going to drop alot tonight. The swing high got broke on D1.....it's working its way thru the lower Tf's....each one swings up then reverses and pulls down the D1.

Two things. You can identify the most likely location of the big run and you don't have to babysit your pc.

asctrend arrows set on #1 risk.

If you mark the bottom and top of the first retrace arrow candle after a long run you will find where most of the grand slam setups will occur.

If price breaks hard up over the first retrace arrow then trend is up....
When price does it's thing above the arrow candle...look for it to retrace and break it's bottom. This is where the nice engulfing setups usually occur. The ones that go 4:1. It's because many time you are entering on the leg 3. Leg 3 usually goes at least the distance of leg 1. Look for the daily s/r lines....it could hold it back.

Set an alarm towards the bottom of this candle on the resumption to the original trend. (after leg 2 is done) Start looking for setups.

Works very good on the h4/h1 combo. The higher tf shows the over all picture of the legs. you can drop to the 5min and work it if you want to.....work! If you're worried about late timeing on the break of the retrace candle to continue the retrace....when the 1hr arrow pops out don't wait for the candle to close....drop to a lower tf and hunt for setups....but, the retrace isn't set until that candle is broke. You won't be late on the resumption trade.

There seems to be a reason these candle arrows are coming at this point. Draw a line thru the candles that have a retrace arrow for about a week or two. It's the middle of the range.

Last night was wonderful.....traded the 5min.

Great! Looks like you have suceeded in getting everybody to abandon this thread. Now you and 25 some indicators can have the whole thread. Pl dont stop here. Invent more indicators and liiter every othe thread.

You make a good point in that there are a lot of indi's on his chart. But having said that each one of us will trade a particular system / method slightly different to >>>> whole lot differrently !!! Hence the beauty of trading. Everyone gets a little from here , a little from there...and creates their own style that works for them.

Now regarding this particular thread.. Yes, many times we see PA ( for the most part ) threads on FF get side tracked via too many indi or someone coming in and writing some EA.... Happens all the time.

One thing I have not seen.. ( correct me if I am incorrect ) is that 60M has not made an issue of this. Maybe 60M will address?? Maybe not??

The point is just disregard was does not work for you. You will find this to be a difficult task...This is trading and trading is full of distractions..

Your ability to focus and not let these issues get in your way. It will serve you well when learning this craft of trading. The mental aspect of trading is " far and away" the most difficult to learn... It requires a significant change in thinking.. A "rewire" if you will.

"One man's trash is another man's treasure"... Who knows??? You may find something that Cugir321 does that may work for you.. Then again, you may not?

For the record I use 60M method when markets are trending strong and, I trade very differently when they are not.

There's not a lot of indy's on my chart....sorry you misunderstood. The arrows identify the candle area's well. The indicators were there so you could see the relationship and be alerted without sitting by your computer. I have 3 indicators mtf stoch, 40 cci, and shrunk a down trix that I bring up from time to time. The arrows work much the same way as identifying the types of candle entry's. Bell rings. Look at it. Broke over or under the 50sma Look at it. If you want to use your knowledge at that point great.

In essence the arrows do the same thing.

There's more to it then whats here.....a little thing that makes all the difference. I'm still experimenting on the money management. I missed one that went 50 pips....I was in....got out at 6 pips cause my platform software locked up and I couldn't get a sl in....hit close and it took.

That's about 80 pips. That's not just big trades.

m15 commando relies on a few things to make it work well.

1. trade in london and NY session.

2. make sure the pair is trending, let it make a new high/low before taking the first retrace entry.

3. use the ma slope to help with trend, the further price gets from the ma's the less successful your trade.

4. if price stops making higher highs , higher lows etc... the move is done.

5. have realistic expectancy, you should win 50% of your trades, you should aim for 2/1 minimum R/R

I am following the entry 1 strategy and its doing great...any modification to the original strategy....but i dont think so its reqd...i jst asked as i hv till read only 107 page....

later in the thread we go into detail about trading near the ma's for best rewards and consistency... thats all, and a few other entry ideas, like outside bars...

also talk about how to draw real s/r levels on daily tf to ramp up your win rate... and how to use daily tf for probable direction... theres some good stuff on my website... link below

It's been a really enjoyable journey on this thread... but I don't think I have anything more to add, I sincerely hope that some people will get something out of the information here, and i'm grateful to everyone that has contributed and kept it good natured.

Good luck, and please do not believe the hype, forex trading is very doable, you can do it... just give it some time and work hard.

The basic, time tested trading techniques work as well today as they ever have, forex educators will have you believe its near impossible to crack, but they have a vested interest in that opinion....
