Hi guys, I´ve just read through this intriguing thread and started to test the GADI OBV mainly during european open. Thanks goes out to teacher gg53 and threadstarter jusiur + all contributers.

My question is about setting the SL and entry point when breakout out from the "Killing Zone."

Do use other ways of setting the SL than the above described of gg53? In that case may I ask how?

When entering a GADI OBV breakoutsignal, would you look for lower timeframes to fall in line or do you just go with the your trading timeframe signal?

Has anyone been combining any of Gadi's indicators with any others?

I've combined TickVolume and Trend with the 22/7 PI indicator (found in a thread on here) and found that it helps, at least for me. I also have been using Market_Statistics 4.1 and that really helps. I find that they make a pretty good combination.

there is no link to the indicator you referred, i use my self normalizedvolume and tickvolume. combined with HTF stoch. the results are very good aswell.

I just focused on direction and volume. Direction H4 mtf obv + 13 lwma, when confirmed cross (north or south) go to H1/M30 gadi_obv for entries based on previous levels, something similar to killing zone lines. I don´t care any more killing zone . . . try to understand and apply it but my little brain could not handle the matter.

To choose the pairs (and also set direction, polarity, strength, weakness, partnerships, period, perspective ) I use a strength meter, It´s not easy handle (interpret) strengthmeters, even Gadi´s one. I've tried for several months with many of them. Actually I use another one macd based, I´ll post some day when master my technique.

I feel that I don´t need any more indicators, it´s enough for me and I want it as k.i.s.s. as possible.

I've been using the Gadi Obv v.2.2 with a 21 linear weighted ma(yellow) and a 60 exponential ma (blue) in the same box as the gad. Works rather nicely, while still having the killing zone appear. See attached:

That should be the Moving Average of the volume my friend.....

Thank you 4XPA - obvious now . I know gg53 doesn´t like MA:s but put one on the Normalized Volume. May I ask, do you find it useful?

POSITIVE VOLUME INDEX
Overview
The Positive Volume Index ("PVI") focuses on days where the volume increased from the previous day. The premise being that the "crowd" takes positions on days when volume increases.
Interpretation
Interpretation of the PVI assumes that on days when volume increases, the crowd-following "uninformed" investors are in the market. Conversely, on days with decreased volume, the "smart money" is quietly taking positions. Thus, the PVI displays what the not-so-smart-money is doing. (The Negative Volume Index, displays what the smart money is doing.) Note, however, that the PVI is not a contrarian indicator. Even though the PVI is supposed to show what the not-so-smart-money is doing, it still trends in the same direction as prices.
The following table summarizes NVI and PVI data from 1941 through 1975 as explained in Stock Market Logic, by Norman Fosback.

I labeled both the NVI and PVI indicators bullish or bearish depending on if they were above or below their 52-week moving averages.
I then labeled the DJIA as Bullish when either the NVI or PVI was above its moving average, and as Very Bullish when both the indicators were above their moving averages.

Because rising prices are usually associated with rising volume, the PVI usually trends upward.
