With the above rules in mind go back and look at the D analysis I post, then the trades taken and look for the view in trend or not. If CT look for the reasons, I'd usually mention SR level/W pivot, several hours refusing to continue in trend and good 1hr set up candle.

You can expand your own rules to include more specific/technical requirements of your preferred set up e.g. size of 15 min candles on entry such as leaving eur, gu 15 min candles larger than 30 pips. For me I have a requirement of little/no wick in direction of trade on set up candle.

I have been asked why I won't accept a "none system" win, a wins a win right? No if you are guessing or whatever how do you repeat that? Even worse do you start trading everything in sight? That does not usually end well.

If you got an out of the blue thumb suck win, see if there's anything out of it that you can develop, fine. Trade everything in sight, no.

I would like to know what timing's do you gauge the market for trades. I used to look at the chart's every 15 mins after London opens and do that for 2 hours, and later the same thing for New york and London close. Would you like to share the timing's you in the market ?

I am saying this a lot lately and the reason is its all too easy to forget the particular issue that we trade with. If Mrs V is having a particularly tough time she might not trade for a week or two. Everything we do revolves around what she can manage.

She starts just before LO. Then its a waiting game for trades to come through. If LO does not provide a trade for a couple of hours then we know its probably going to shift to pre/early US session. She'll then have the 2 hours or so from there to after the first batch of US news. Most days there will be trades there. Finally in need theres the trades after the 2nd batch of US news. If she has traded in the day chances are she'll be gone for that trade.

We view LO if that goes then will prob drift until pre/early US and then post US news. We definitely want to be around for those time slots.

We used to watch Mon and Fri mornings early (an hour or 2 before Frankfurt open) with the view that LO on Mons and Fris were often messy. We watched EJ also around those times. Have not kept those ideas up to date as she can only trade for so long. I suspect strongly they are still valid.

In summary the focus is on the 3 slots, LO and the 1-2 hours after, pre/early US open and post US news.

11 Feb

EUR - D did close marginally lower than 7 Feb at the support area 1.3375. 4hr lower high lower low in tact, just. A 1hr move lower that fails and then moves up would switch flow up. Bias down but looking for move up should W M2/1.3350 hold.

GU - Same picture in reverse. Bias up but we have at W M3 at 1.5822 and resistance level at 1.5843 could flip 1hr to sells.

EJ - D neg close at the 123.30 support level. We have stalled here for 20 hours and there was buying during London and US sessions. Failure to go lower will set up buying opportunities.

Mrs V mentioned in EJ at 124.14, obviously includes spread. A touch late but we'll see.

Haven't got exact prices yet but just exited 60% at around +70-ish. I favoured exit in full at W pivot 2 pips below RN. She favours Fris high. Compromise but I'd prefer exit all which is weird as thats what Mrs V normally favours.

Time will tell. Nice trade whatever happens.

Looks like it wants to pop through 125 and I'm in for a healthy dose of I told you so. That'll be great if it happens, I'll take that kind of I told you so any day of the week (with 40% still running of course).

As mentioned EJ did not want to go lower with a solid base 123.57 the W M2. Out 60% at +67 and the balance at +84.

A good day, Mrs V was right it seems and the nice 4hr close may take us higher.

This was a little early but if you were looking for 1hr to flip this shooting star is a great one to get. Not taken, nice set up though. Closes at the end of immediate range and follows through.

Recap 11 Feb

EUR - View was a 1hr move lower that fails and then moves up would switch flow up. Bias down but looking for move up should W M2/1.3350 hold. 1.3350 did hold and we went up.

GU - View was bias up but we have W M3 at 1.5822 and resistance level at 1.5843 could flip 1hr to sells. An early shooting star rejected the move up and 1hr did flip for sells.

EJ - View was D neg close at the 123.30 support level. We have stalled here for 20 hours and there was buying during the previous days London and US sessions. Failure to go lower will set up buying opportunities. We did get move up.

12 Feb

EUR - D closed positive inside bar. 4hr flow undecided. All in all a weak D candle did not cross our 8lwma, RSI below 50. Bias down but we can bounce from 1.3360 support level.

GU - D engulfing negative close. The flow is down but we have had 2 large D negative closes in this general area that could not follow through lower. Bias down but with potential to bounce up fro, the support levels.

EJ - D positive close, bias up.

Mrs V had internet connection problems and missed this GU trade. Great set up on 1hr with engulfing close (i.e. close below last 2 candle closes) right on lows of range. 15 min lh little/no lower wick in trend.

Did buy ej 126.08 will post those charts later.

When we do a trade we open the close trade box, she had a finger slip and we are out! No worries but after the stick I took yesterday and today on my ej early exit call I can get a little bit of pay back. EJ please go up please.

I have said several times here and in blog that when LO has a relatively quick 60-70 odd pip move that we do not look to re-enter, see the x. We have been burnt on those re-entry trades. There's a high risk that tight stops will get hit. We'd rather wait for US session.
