Hi all, I need a custom indicator that will show when a candle's wick is at least 2 times the length of its body when the CCI is above 100 and and below -100. Can anyne help pls?

Could i make a simple suggestion?

Instead of just showing it in 2 colors,make it 4 colors instead.

The idea of using wick and a percentage of ATR to gauge the buying/selling pressure is a nice idea but i think it can be improve further.

As all of you here will know,beside the wick length,another factor that will determine the buyers or sellers are in control is whether the candle is a Up or Down or flat candle.

So can the program be altered a little to look like this
Long lower shadow,positive close LimeGreen
Long lower shadow,negative or unchange Aqua
Long upper shadow,positive close Red
Long upper shadow,negative or unchange Magenta

Did anyone ever figure out which indicator ToddFX was using?

Humbly, i would like to request if anyone can make that indicator to show multiple timeframe? for example, it can show the wick size for H1 in the M5 timeframe... thank you in advance...

I've got an interesting one for you all...
I need to work out how to code an indicator that that can calculate the percentage of the upper and lower wick of an given candle. Then can be limited to ONLY show results BELOW a certain number.
For example: I specify that my desired percent limit is 10%. So the indicator can look thought all the candles and only show me the candles where the upper wick is 10% or less and the bottom wick is 10% or less. IF a candle has wicks where BOTH upper and lower meet that criteria! Then the indicator points it out.



While I'd like to be able to choose the percent limit myself (hopefully a setting where I can specify it.) I just want the indicator to pop an arrow or something under the candle that qualifies - No specific numbers, etc... just some simple symbol.


Can anyone help me? I suck at coding and the mods I've tried to do to codes that are close have ended up really buggy..

Just to be clear.. The above work belongs to someone else. S props to that person I've jut been trying to change it.

Give this a try I think it is what you are after, it shows only the candles that have both the upper and lower wicks that are below a set percentage of the candle body, I have color coded it so that if the candle close is above the open it is blue and if the close is below the open then the color is red.

Is it possible to have the chart lookin normal except for an arrow or something below the applicable candles?

Also is there a way to toggle between it finding:
A) ones where only the top wick qualifies
B) where only the bottom wick qualifies and
C) Only candles where both qualify?

That arrow one is absolutely fantastic!! I can't thank you enough!
If you could help me out just abit more, I seem to find the arrows are sometimes right on top of the candle (no space between the candle and the arrow)

Also just to reiterate a final stage....


Is there a way to toggle the indicator:

A) It will isolate candles with wicks thats don't exceed a certain percentage.
B) So it will pop an arrow to identify that a BULL candle CLOSES within a certain percent of its OPEN.
C) And a BEAR candle CLOSES within the same percent of its CLOSE.

Have that as 3 independant filters? I honestly do not know if this is a quick fix or a massive imposition. But if you do know how to do that, that would be beyond amazing. Cannot thank you enough for the arrow indicator already!!

Just to further reclarify....

The A) part of function you've already nailed. The percent is set to 10% and you can change that if you wish.
It finds candles, where the wicks either side of the candle are less then 10%.

Its the B) and the C) part I just wonder if is possible?


So that in the indicator you can just choose "true" or "false" to either of the conditions.

A) Bear Candles bottom wick is equal or less then "percent" ---- true / false
B) Bull Candle top wick is equal or less then "percent" ---------- true / false

There is an arrow shift input already in the indicator so that you can shift the arrows any distance from the candles.
