Try removing the indicator and drawing your own supply and demand levels. Once you've got good at it then put the indicator back on and your mind will automatically filter out the weak levels.

Dont get me wrong, but i think this thread is about trading supply and demand on the lower timeframe charts and not about looking to cross some lines.

Dont take this personal but for people who only want to trade naked its irritating. S&D demand traders take PA into consideration.

Morning guys. Just grabbed a coffee and was pondering the bullish action on the EU. I've been scratching my head for the last 5 minutes trying to figure out exactly what turned price earlier.

There was not clear S/R flip, no H4 level, No H1 level..

Then I switched on my 3rd monitor and saw this..

Yes, the semafor helps in this case to see where price turned and couldnt break

The other way around, it tells us that 1,3550 and 3588 are key resistance zones, if we break them... No meanful resistance left

I've got no problem at all with anyone putting charts up with any indicators or MA crosses as long as S/R or S&D is the main reason for taking a trade.

I ask this as there are tons of huge active threads dedicated to pure EMA trading on FF.

The only thing I would say is that a moving average of bar history means absolutely nothing to the market. Although the 200EMA may sometimes seems to have some form of support or resistance type of effect. I do plot the 50 and the 200 on a daily chart as a reference only.

GU scalp short

I was long after we broke 1,5771 and after the good PMI data, I was convinced we see more than 5800 today.

However, we fell back and I had my buy position still open at the same position without taking profits.

After we couldnt manage to stay above the ascending wedge and broke south, I hedged with a sell and it worked for 20pips.

My bias is still long GU.

This is one way to lock in, although prefer to close the negative buy position after confirmation of direction since you can always re-enter the long lower down.

That way you can take full profits on the short instead of ending up with a balanced price lock.

Well, ideally you'd only want to lock positions that are in profit.

You are so right. I shouldve closed my buy with short loss and reentered lower, since price went even deeper my sell order didnt help me much.

Closed much of my Euro swing positions (EURJPY, EURUSD) and will reenter later or the next days

Hey it's all good since it didn't cost you anything. locking is great but takes a fair bit of practice but rule of thumb for locking is to make sure any negative positions are closed off fast, leaving the positive ones to run.

I took a short on the EU before dashing off to work, took a position off already. No charts right now.

Really nice trade. Especially the very weak 5 x 1 Min PA for the bulls in that situation... Since as C-12 said demand as taken out and few hours back we made a gap up between 126.30 -126.00 , the move down was predestinated.
