I still find myself watching charts every 15min or so..and still...WTF :S bull followed by mysterious bear.. bull formation followed by mysterious bear. nearly on every tf

Hello All,

Today, technically the slight reverse on the EUR/USD is correct. Today was an obvious sell day which can be determined by the USD Index.

Also, for me to understand a day before wether its going to be a buy day or a sell day, I use the following calculation to give me a pivot for the next day. If the pivot is above price, its a sell day. If its below price, its a buy day.

But I draw this pivot point for the USD Index to give me a direction of where the USD is going etc.

Calculation-

(Today's Close - the close of two days ago) + Yesterdays close.

So for the EUR/USD, its given me a pivot of 1.3697
On the USD index, its given me a pivot of 79.142

There have been pullbacks to open shorts on the EUR/USD today. See below. (Also the EUR/JPY).

I only use Fibonacci retracement for entry and Fibonacci Expansion for exit at the 100%, 161.8% and 200%.

Although I do see potential for major upside here and it is a bull, the 1.349 level is much more important. It is 50 fib level on my weekly triangle I posted and also 50 fib level on 4H from move of cz zone at 1.326.

Now, I am not saying to trade reverse here Steve but it would seem we would have to visit such an important level at some point.

Nice job. Two counts (white and pink arrows) have been negated in just one day. It seems like it is heading for the lower trend line.

As it looks as though its consolidating and resting around my support at 3525, the next move down is to 3491 - methinks I'll hang on and see what happens!

Rehorst,

Its simple, for todays pivot i used Friday 1st February Close - Wednesday 30th January Close.

I then added this to Thursday 31st January Close to give me Today's Pivot.

So for tomorrow's pivot, wait until the close of today. Use today's close - Thursday 31st Jan close. Add that to Friday 1st February Close.

Disregard the Sunday data.
