If this busts through 1.3480 with out a pull back

Whole new level 13500

man back to the abacus

This is about 10 weeks of a up trend

you would expect at least 2 to 3 cents retrace before it climbs

Everything for me hinges around 13480 pull back

Good morning,

didn´t expect the € to go that high tis week

closed some hedging longs but too early @3430
shorts still under water but already realized 72% of the unrealized loss through hedging.

waiting for some retrace before going long again.

Good Afternoon,
my first post in this thread. I am new to FF but a seasoned trader and specialize in the Euro FX currency futures (there are typically up to 10 pips difference between futures and spot).

This week I have entered longs @ 1.3332 and exited 1/3rd @ 1.3470.

I am now waiting for a retracement into the 1.3442 (previous highs) or 1.3400 to add again. A deeper retracement could bring price into the 1.3300 area.

I am bullish for the Euro and I think we could easily see 1.3670-1.3720 area before we see a larger retracement, maybe into 1.3460-70 area for a continuation higher.

All prices I have indicated refer to the Euro FX currency futures.

Let me know what are your thoughts.

A Disclaimer: i´m short and bearish for euro on long therm.

i was very surprised about the speed € gains strength.
My conclusion for the fast recovery of € is: all the money that speculate against € in the past
3 years is taken out of the pot and now into JPY.

i expected the retracement around 3430 down to ~3150 but it looks like € isn´t willing to retrace.

My "goal" is 3200 around 4-5feb. a retest of the lower ascending TL. we´ll see.

i think a 1.37 touch is likely

could even be 1.3850 to 1.4050

Past 1.3480 there is nothing in the way up until 1.38/1.3850. There is monthly bollinger band near 1.37, which is the general area where the monthly hidden divergence will come into play.

Certainly you see it ?

I certainly understand there is not much beyond weekly resistance at 1.3485 but this move seems a little stretched to make it now. I would expect a cz or pb, but who knows? The EUR has been moving of late in nice 70 pip increments. That move coincides nicely with my outlook below. I will head into the week with this outlook, but as always, ready and willing to change it.

your numbers are aligned to what I am anticipating too. I think we could get to 1.3670-1.3720 in the coming two weeks and then retrace for a continuation higher into 1.3850. I would then love to see a retracement into the 1.30 area as you say, something similar happened in the past,too.
However I can see a retracement into the 1.3520 first, but I need to see price below 1.3400 then to be convinced to see price moving into the 1.30 area.

And just to clarify we COULD get an extension here to 1.3670 but IMO, that would be it at this point.

, but before 1.36xxx, i will say retracement @ 1.348xx to 1.34, then it'll carry-on up to 1.35xx and +++ !?

well considering we have no break on the highs yet, that is bad for bulls.

but im saying if we break it, thats my target area.

all depends on if big players sell this 1.3485 heavily enough to make the monthly close give a negative sloping RSI (its at 97 on the monthly RSI 2) with hidden divergence.

if no heavy sell to close this month the hidden div wont happen until a few hundred pips higher

First target is 1.3485-1.35.

Extension target is 1.3670.
