It takes while to populate if i remember correctly. I d'ont use it. It's a ressource hog.

This is not the only one - just an example (EJ M1) from today already - left is Pepper, right is Axi

You're initial issue was transactional.
This is a data issue. I have the gap on EJ. Nice play the gap trade.
If no issues your end contact Pepper and work things out.

well yes this is a data issue - im just wondering why Pepper is giving that gap when Axi or anyone else i've tried doesnt - i dont like the inconsistencies

I still own one edge razor and one old razor account with Pepperstone - that was what it seems the same as axis trader - integral liquidity.
The old RAZOR has more ticks, and it's data feed is from integral - the new edge razor has less ticks, their liquidity is direct to banks and others (as they claim).
I've noticed many times that this differences happen as normal when data feeds are not the same - and I believe this is the source of the your problem.

Well, english is not my main language, so I might not expressed well enough then.

Before August 2012 (if not mistaken), Pepperstone had RAZOR accounts where the exchange was INTEGRAL based - Since beginning, Pepperstone had connections with AxisTrader and it was visible that Pepperstone was using AxisTrader's backbone - that was INTEGRAL liquidity; That said, off course data feeds are from INTEGRAL, also.

In August 2012, Pepperstone released EDGE, and with it, EDGE RAZOR; They seem to have dropped INTEGRAL/AxisTrader systems tie, and moved into and direct connection with banks to whom they partnered to provide liquidity (Interbank) - they wanted to remove INTEGRAL as middle man. With this, the data feed is off course different, so I my opinion this may be expected.

Jack_Larkin is the man to complete or correct my info here

On the recent postings about tick "volumes".. I agree. They aren't quite what they used to be.

Though, they aren't bad.. slightly above average from what I can tell between most major brokers. It's just a sore spot to go from an outstanding rate to 'above average', especially when you can easily compare the old vs new like we can with the old accounts still active or the feed from Axi.

I've brought up tick rates with pepper a few times.. and they have improved a little since Edge was first launched with the inclusion of a few new liquidity providers, but I think I'm going to revisit the subject with them..

Actually, given this is a 'client-demand' industry when it comes to change, if this is something you guys want to see improved yourself:

The more that ask for a higher tick rate the more likely they'll take notice.

Again, they aren't 'bad' compared to most brokers, but no harm in wanting the best out of our broker.

You pretty much got it..

The integral feed was awesome but they were a middle man after all, and Pepper started doing enough monthly volume to strike direct relationships with banks.. so they created their own price aggregation system (pretty much what Integral's job was outside of some server infrastructure) to blend the quotes they were getting direct with the banks, and fed that to their MT4 server. This allows them to offer lower spreads than the old integral feed and it lowers their costs on the back end since Integral isn't taking a cut of the profits.

MyFXBook is tracking the spread difference shows the following:

EDGE:

EURUSD past 24 hours: 0.3 average
AUDUSD past 24 hours: 0.4 average

Old Razor:

EURUSD past 24 hours: 0.5 average
AUDUSD past 24 hours: 0.5 average

(Note: This includes the US new home sales news release and increased spreads during that time..)

So we are seeing the benefit of moving away from the old Integral setup in terms of spread. It's just the tick rates that are a sore spot.

I just wanted to say i have a live account and see EURSEK in Fx Europe symbols... So the story is true or not you cannot say they don't offer 'SEK'.
I didn't ever say that Pepperstone doesn't offer SEK, I just said that my account doesn't offer it. I have a standard EDGE account through the Melbourne office.

If you trade the EURUSD and the GBP and the JPY, the spreads a really incredible. There is some slippage in high volume markets as someone else stated, but it is very light. I have only traded mini and micro lots, where most slippage can be expected, but there's never been a problem in over 300 market orders that I can see. If you trade in round lots I think your orders will get filled precisely.

The only problem for some is customer service. There is no trading community, special information service or anything. They give you daily emails on your account, but that's it. Of course you can call people and ask questions and they're very professional (in Australia, traders actually answer the phones!), but otherwise there's no special contact.
