DislikedSo 6 months is the authoritative period for proving? Not 3 months or 9 months? Great, I'm sure Supertrader9 can live up to the expectations of all these "experts" who had no myfxbook or TradeExplorer to show but sure have a lot of advise.Ignored
Dislikedare you like his spokesperson or something?
anyway, what's with the privacy on Supertrader's myfxbook? Even if he trades a $10 live account, it's stil money. Just make it public. Join the transparency movement!Ignored
DislikedNot at all any reputable prop desk wouldn't consider a PnL of less than 2 years of profitability & even that's considered young. I'm not saying the system won't hold up but reality is 2 yrs minimum is what you need to prove a strategy. Also you should know myfxbook & tradeexplorer only link up to mt4 brokers. It's shocking that everyone here uses mt4 it's horrible charting software. You get what you pay for when it comes to charting, just news services & tick data services.Ignored
DislikedWell what you've said is true for most. But what if you make 10,000% in 7 months? Wouldn't you consider that?? Not everybody applies to THE rule. I love mt4 and i think it is simple and i don't need much of anything else. On top of that one can program an auto order management entry easily.
You don't need a bloomberg terminal if you don't use all the news. I only trade technicals so mt4 is enough. I really don't see where the horrible part of mt4. I am quite sure millions more are with me. A chart is a chart. Thats it. Nowadays mt4 are compatible...Ignored
DislikedTo be honest with you I hope you do make 10,000% in 7 months, unfortunately it still would help your case at a prop desk as it still doesnt prove your strategy will hold up the test of time. The last desk I worked at they got tons inquiries from traders submitting PnL's with insane ROI's & frankly it scared the hell out of them, you need to use dangerously high amounts leverage to obtain results & it's not practical to expect to scale those types of profits when your trading a multi million dollar account. I'm not try to rain on your parade I'm...Ignored
DislikedI would never ever ever work for a prop desk as i would be making enough money on my own. Why work for anybody else? For managing others account might be interesting. I do one day want to start my own hedge fund.
Those guys which you have stated either were trying to crack a joke or desperate looking for a job. Why would anyone with million dollars account be enquiring position at a prop desk? (You said they were making insane ROI).
If i am trading a multi-million dollar account i would be making less profits with lesser drawdowns but still...Ignored
DislikedI think our understanding of insane is different 1000% is insane high, 10,000% is unrealistic, no way can you scale that size. It's one thing to turn 1000 into 10,000 it's another to try & turn 100,000 into 100,000,000 there both insane ROI'S first 1st 1 is possible 2nd is not.Ignored
DislikedOf course its all about the leverage given. On a larger account you would get smaller leverage. On a smaller account it is much easier as you have larger leverage. I have done extensive tests and research on my system and it is possible to go from 1m to 10m in one year.Ignored
DislikedYou can do all the extensive testing you the like, the only one that matters is with real money & how the market reacts to that type of size, you can only test for this live. In order to turn 1m to 10m you will be pushing insane size, size that I'm fairly positive retail brokers wouldn't even allow. Your taking about size that large hedge funds don't even trade. Your not being realistic & you have a lack of real life knowledge. I'm not trying to be rude but I assure you what your taking about is close to impossible. Your better off setting realistic...Ignored
DislikedGosh you really think you know it all when you actually know nothing . FYI, citi's tradestream feed can fill 3000 lots(3 yard) within a pip and the next 3000 within 0.5. You really have no idea what institutional trading is really about. My advise is don't try to teach something you don't know because newbies would believe you and your false information.
By the way, thanks for your advise on setting realistic goals and achieving it first. That is a good advise I will do that.Ignored
Disliked3000 lots is just 300 people trading 10 lots at the same time. Its better for you to call citi themselves as they were the one giving me the details. At news citi fill much much more than that. Are you saying that citi salesperson is delusional??
Remember fx is an over the counter product.Ignored

Ok sir. Do some homework & get some real life experience so you can learn what is realistic in these markets. Good luck getting that size within half a pip. Your delusional about the size of this market & what's real. Your talking about a huge trade that's would account for good number of daily volume of a pair & you think your going to get filled within .5 of pip, wake up man, it's not realistic. An order that size will move the market...Ignored
DislikedYou must be kidding. I trade 5,000 to 7,000 full standard lots at any moment of time, almost daily and get filled within 0.1 to 0.2 pips...................... does demo trading count and included in the above data?Ignored
DislikedYou really don't understand the size your talking about. 300 people doing 10m blocks at 1 time, that's moving the market you'll never get a fill within .5 of a pip. Listen to the question your asking is a sales person delusional no he's just a salesperson he'll tell you what you want hear that's his job, he's not a trader he's a salesperson he has no clue.Ignored
Dislikedum..
1 lot =100,000
10 lot = 1,000,000
100 lot = 10 million
10 mill happens to be oanda's max per order.Ignored
DislikedYes, 10 lots equals to 1million and 300 X 10 =3000. Daedge i apologise if i hurt your feelings whatsoever. My purpose being in this thread is to have fun and not making enemies. Sorry.Ignored
DislikedI dont take thing personally at all sir. Was typing and not paying enough attention and I can admit my mistake and made a typo believe me not a big deal, the fact is your taking about size thats not realistic what so ever, you will never get the fill as there saying its a fact. Ask anyone that has traded any type of reasonable size. And yes citi's rep is a moron hes a customer service rep making maybe 50k a year salary and that being generous. These reps are entry level positions. onada has roughly 150m in customer funds do a search you'll find...Ignored
