Automated software, where?

I would like to automate a trading executions to a bot(computer execution). Where can I find such a software?

Can you elaborate a bit more? Your question is not very clear.
If you would like to automate your "strategy", the best way is to hire a "programmer" to do it for you.
I believe there is some commercial software that "would" help to code without having programing knowledge
but at the end you always have to learn more then you think and the cheapest and faster still is to hire a programer to do it for you.

Hi BBPI.
Post your current thinking about automated software in your notebook and read it 2 year from now.
We all change our minds after trading manually full time a couple years.

Obviously I would agree not to waste time nor money in the typical non-sense useless
packaged software found by the truckloads... but developing our own strategies
and code them is the best time investment a trader can do.

The more pro efficient we become in technical issues as back testing, using scripts,
full strategy codes, etc, the more profitable we become and our lives also gets easy.

You may want to stick with manual trading - nothing wrong with automated signals but EA, would really advise against it

while there are some merits to automated trading, i feel that in order to be truly great at this a human factor and constant monitoring is needed. Of course, how profitable or not an automated software is depends on the trading system you are using/your own trading philosophy, etc.

while i agree with the fact that the market is predictable to a certain degree, and that history repeats itsfelf, history doesn't repeat itself exactly the same, but with minor/major changes, that's why i feel that an automated software will not live up to its full potential, because automated software cannot interpret the market, it can only analyse parameters and make decisions based on them

You are 100% correct BBPI: I think you already know what most trader will never understand.
I will go the the extreme saying the market will never repeat itself. To ours eye yes in a general way of patterns etc, but to a computer never. That is why the automation has to be treated in a whole different approach then manual trading.

People will keep trying to automatize manual strategies forever. And/or automate using indicators that only a human can place significance. All those efforts are useless. Tell me of a Code that uses an indicator and will tell you right away that will fail.

Automation for forex has to be quantitative only. Math and statistics only. Therefore will be systems with a calculated total risk
and very consistence stable results. No surprises. These system could vary from 2% to around 7% per month... and everything over 4% per month is a holly grail in my books.

If 4% or 40% per months are good or bad depends again on your system. My gird bot makes 40% per month in backtesting over 3 years. Thats still lower than that freak at InstaForex who went from 1000 to a million in some months by trading news (and lost it again lolz).

Also we need to consider the account size. Hedge Funds normally don't make more than 30% profit per year as their huge amounts of cash cannot be leveraged. Whereas a small account with FXGlory can be leveraged up to 3000:1. So you can make huge %-wins with a small account, but the big boys don't have that feature (as they would kill the broker with extremely large orders).

Yup! Make fast money and lose it again..that's life in the currency market. True, hedgefunds rarely give the huge returns you can get as a retail trader (provided yo know how to go about it). But then again, the only way high leverage translates to actual profits depends on your trading skill..
