Hi all,

I've been reading this great thread for a week or so. I took this trade on USDJPY this morning. Looked like fresh supply on the weekly and daily. any opinion on my TP would be much appreciated. Happy trading!

Julexo, I completely agree with you. I would like to repeat here words of one of the greatest and inspiring trader in history - Paul Tudor Jones:
"Trading is very competitive and you have to be able to getting your butt kicked",
"You adapt, evolve, compete or die".

Technique and trading style is very important but the prime in this business is good risk (money) management and strong psyche to be able to stand much stress.

It has been my experience with the yen ladies that they are heavily manipulated. The recent depreciation of the yen by printing trillions of them is proof. Because of the manipulation, I choose to stay away from these pairs.

As for trading, it is very easy to get into a trade. The really hard part is knowing when to get out. In this particular case, it is even more difficult. Now if, and this is a big "if," the boj has stopped printing for a while, the following levels may be tested: It pierced and bounced off of 86.95. If it goes below this, the next level will be 86.62, then 86.14, 85.95, 85,50 and 84.52. However, no one knows if/when the boj will crank up the printers again.

I like to say its not the quantity of the pips rather the quality. I say this because confidence reigns. If you develop your own trading system and more importantly believe in it because it has demonstrated its reliability time and time again then, and only then, will you have confidence in knowing exactly when to enter and when to exit a trade.

thanks for the advice and pointers on the levels. I marked them on my chart so I can learn from them. I got out of the trade if only to insure profit. I still like the look of the set up interms of shorting from supply.

The setup does look good. Another reason to go short is because the news is telling everyone to go long. It's the contrarian in me. I just don't trust the boj. Have been burned to many times.

How you doing ? Hope you got some pips from this trade. I have a small long trade currently up with 30 pips. Need to play safely at these levels. Good luck

Welcome to the thread mate. I really love to trade JPY pairs. I got some good pips on the long trades last year.

I think JPY completed its wave and pointing further up. I recommend you to move your SL to break-even at this stage. For me your TP is very long term. Need big news to pull UJ down. I don't have any JPY trades at the moment. In any case good luck.
