Recovered loss on GU, 20 pips taken and locked at BE. Let's see if this can retrace 50% then.

Hey C.

How many trades do you take per day on average and usually what R:R do they have? I'm trying to get a feel for what your style is

Nice short Fiber btw

There's no fixed rule on this, my R:R can vary massively. That EURUSD trade ran for 76 pips but initial risk was only 6. They don't always work like that though. My thought process is usually something like this:

1) Is this a high quality fresh level?

2) Can this trade run at least 6 pips (allowing me to get to break even)?

3) Where are the next higher time frame levels this can possibly go?

4) Where can I take some profits off?

5) Place the trade

6) Pray!

Yesterday I downloaded the ii_SupDem v2 indicator and placed onto my charts ( it automatically draws the supply and demand levels). I then proceeded to monitor it for a few hours on time frames from 1 min to 4 hrs.
I was astonished ( I have never traded supply and demand) how good this indicator is, in every timframe. If it manages to break through a level, sure enough it found resistance / support on the next timeframe up's level.
Being from Aussie I had to go to bed before the major move down, but I marked a target level(demand level) for the move based on the 1 hour level and sure enough that level was hit and stalled when I got up this morning.
I will surely be doing more research on this topic and following this thread with great interest.

I took the same entry, but closed out earlier than you. Well done.
My question is do you enter short straight away now the 5 min supply zone is hit ( longer timeframes down) or do you wait for a couple of more touches? Still learning this method.

As per previous post I sold @ 63.6 and have closed 1/2 @ 55.6 and other with TP @ 38, just above 15 min demand zone. Stop moved to 54.6

I took it but had to pop out to drop my car off for servicing. came back and just seen the drop!

Took 16 pips..

This is my version of this morning's events... posting here so hopefully i'll never do it again

i closed it after the m5 engulfed north (1st stupid thing to do) but then didn't reenter when the next bar engulfed south (2nd stupid thing as it had effectively superceded the move that made me close it).. then i just sat and watched and said how stupid i'd been for the next hr or so.

We're all guilty of this. The main thing is that you read the market.

I made the mistake of not trusting my higher time frame analysis and taking 16 measly pips out of a 70 odd pip drop. I mean I have this daily chart displayed at all time.. This move was pretty damn obvious.

We're now at some key daily fib levels (I'm using fibs on higher tf charts) so longs look back in play.
