Now I think it can my bank issue. As far as I remember - even bank transfer to oanda's europe accounts took 5 days. Irish banking.......

Never took me 5 days. Two weeks is a bit long... Pepper usually deposits the next day in my account when received .
Contact your bank to see whats up.

It took me 24 hours a few months ago wiring from Canadian bank.

My friend funded his account by wire two days before Chirstmas, and account is filled right after year. He wired from China by the way.
Whatever is happening right now has happened before and will happen again.

You guys are on the right path here... talk to the bank and Pepper. Sounds like the bank might have missed something so you should probably follow up with them (getting them to verify the transaction, account numbers, etc..)

Canadian here, and funding has never taken that long at all for me.

Jack, have you heard anything about Metatrader 5 Live availability?

Second question is where do they send the orders to when a Customer is using the Edge Platform? Is it still Integral?

Haven't asked about MT5 in months.. maybe you should drop them an email and let us know how they respond.



From what I understand, Edge goes direct to the banks in NYC and skips Integral. They put together a liquidity aggregation system that does the job of what Integral used to do, as they have relationships directly with the banks now that used to be accessed through Integral's connections. There's a blurb about it on their Edge Technology page..

On tuesday got email from pepperstone - they asked for copy of wire confirmation - so they can ask their bank to check the transfer.
Then I contacted my bank - customers service guy told me, that all the delays because of the Christmas holdiay and so on... According to him - by Monday everything should be OK. If no - they will provide me with wire confirmation.
Not the best start with new broker......

I am unable to sign into my Hotmail account and I think it has been hacked.

I have sent an email to Pepperstone asking for my daily report and any other correspondence to be sent to a new email account I have just created.

I did change my MT4 password a few months back but forget how I did it, the password was sent to my hotmail account so I need to change it again, can anyone please tell me how to do that?

To be fair, it sounds like your bank giving you the trouble, not the broker.

But I agree, frustrating indeed.

From within MT4

Tools (menu bar) > Options > Server (tab) > Change (button)

Should be next to the login part.

I don't believe so, but haven't you had Pepper support change your account's registered email on file yet? That would probably be best to do next.

Use the support chat or even call them. This is the kinda thing you'd want to deal with quickly. At least, I would.

You'll probably have to provide proof of identity of some kind, so it's quicker to do that back and forth via phone or chat.

With brokers I have used, changing the mt4 password from within mt4 was never sent to my email. So you should be safe from that i think.

This definitely does happen live and to the best of my knowledge it only happened on Pepperstone. I am using 4 other brokers as well.

How it happened
- I opened 1 order using Easy order script. Removed the script as soon as it was opened.
- I later used another tool to visually move SL and TP orders about.
- When my SL was finally hit it just turned yellow and price was moving beyond it for many minutes. Can't remember if it was restarting my MT4 instance several times or just something on the server side that finally unlocked my order but I was filled about 5 pips beyond my SL after several minutes. In the meantime I was of course trying to close it manually with no success. My platform was giving me 'Order is locked' error.

I would also like to add that I found this after some further research:

"Order is locked
Order is locked means your order to buy or sell a currency pair has reached the broker, but your
broker is "holding" or has "locked" the order because they cannot fill you at that price. You will be
unable to close these positions until the broker unlocks them. You also cannot cancel them until the
broker unlocks them."

Cannot fill me for several minutes? I'm not suggesting they tried to cheat me but I guess I can say that there is a weak link in there somewhere (technology they are using?). I don't think this suggests client side issues does it? Where are stop loss orders kept? Are they kept server side or does the client send an order to the server once the SL is hit? The response from Pepperstone I got was that this "Order is Locked" error response may occur if several experts try to trade simultaneously. So the only conclusion I could reasonably make was that my InteractiveSLTP tool for moving SL and TP about was just too fast for whatever tech Pepperstone uses. Because on other brokers it works fine (so far).

Just saying.

BTW Where's the 'Preview' button gone?

Order locked shouldn't happen, and if it does happen on a live account that might be a problem on Pepper's end.

I haven't had an order not execute on a TP or Stop level before due to being locked, but I once couldn't manually close an order that I entered via the OneClickTrading app. Pepper ended up fixing it on their end and reimbursing me on the trade. The moment it happened I pulled up a support chat window and the whole issue was resolved within a few minutes (even the trade reimbursement.) They didn't even try to blame something else or weasel out of it, the moment the support rep saw the order he checked with their IT department to verify and took responsibility for the problem.. That's when they told me the order itself got locked somehow. I hardly had to do anything on my end besides wait for him to say it's all corrected.

As for what causes it, I can't say for sure since I don't know their exact backend setup... what the rep implied was the LP the order was routed to didn't respond, but didnt' reject or timeout on the order either, meaning the order got 'stuck' til they could unlock it... but again, that's more speculation on my end than fact.

In any case, if it affected you negatively they will correct it. Pepper's good with that.

I can confirm this happens on plenty of brokers from time to time. You just need to contact the broker and they should investigate the issue and usually reimburse you in some way
