You might want to look at the Hull Moving Average. In head to head testing, it may not be quite as good as the JMA, but it's free. The only thing the JMA has a clear advantage over the HMA, is that there is speculation that the JMA "resets" itself after a large price movement so that it does not have wacky readings for the next few bars.

If you're interested, the formula for the HMA is:

waverage(2*waverage(close,period/2)-waverage(close,period), SquareRoot(Period))

Keep the first waverage. Replacing the 2nd and 3rd waverage with EndPointAverage.
That will greatly reduce/eliminate the lag effect mentioned below.

Let us know if you do decide to use the JMA though as I'm sure a lot of people would like to know if it's worth the money.

EDIT: I just reread your post. You probably want to shy away from either the JMA or the HMA if you're going to use it in a MA crossover system like the Vegas 1H and 4H Tunnel systems. Those systems rely on the lag inherent in SMAs and EMAs as a sort of noise/whipsaw filter.

Using the "laggy" MAs prevents you from entering into trades every time the market flinches one way or another. Just my 2 cents.

Use 2 sets, one at 10 and one at 13, if you can.
If not, Use Tema MAs,

this time, you mean, a whole month!! ok...about trading, this month Iīm trading like a stupid idiot!! you can have all the experience and time watching charts, trading, studying, that when is about trading, you emotional and psycological is superior to all of that and can ruin everything!!!
next year Iīm going to trade only with automated orders, SL and TP always strategicaly filled, and not even look to the charts while position oppened...thatīs my resolution for next year...I was trading like that until September, and I lost all the good lessons which that trading style gave to me...

If that system worked for you then super. I suggest to continue to use that system. I, myself can't trade when not behind charts. Don't know why.Mayby because i don't like the feeling of something might go wrong or turn against me. Also I can enjoy other things and not keep my mind on the opened trade and ask myself : is it ok, is it still green etc.I trade better when i'm behind charts i think. Need to watch my channels
But if that works for you, go for it bro.

yesterday I study the chart, I decided, going to long EurUsd, because there was a huge demand from 1.3220-.13250, and price went back again to 1.3220..so I thought, this is a fresh trade because itīs the first time price retrace and touch this area again, so Iīm going to enter long....the problem started after...since price didnīt climb up again in that moment, I started to search other scenarys, etc...I should have put SL 10/20 pips, tp 50pips and go away, amuse and enjoy life...noooo, I was all night, reversing to short, after to long again, and finnaly close position loosing on spreads and low pips...
very very bad trading....
