Isn't that Root indicator just a MACD Whats so special about it.

Nope.. it might look like one, but it is not. What is special about it is that we made it ourself in a much different way than a MACD is made. The guy I was working with is a scientist, so there is a lot of science type stuff behind it. Honestly, it was so long ago that we made it and since then I have survived cancer, so I don't even remember what we put into it, but it was not the same theory as what is behind the MACD.

No matter what happens in this thread and in trading, you are a true warrior to me because you survived your battle with cancer. I admire fighters in life and fighting cancer is one hell of a fight...I salute you for that. Cancer has not hit in my family and I understand just how fortunate I am to have that but it has hit with friends of mine and their family and I know the role it can play in the lives of those it hits.

I truly stand up and salute you and admire the fight that you have in you. We all can learn something from you.

Since the market is closed I can't get a good read on the root indicator in live action. I have downloaded it but yet to replace the timing indicator with it. Since next week is probably going to be very slow in action I'm going to keep the timinig indicator on my chart until probably the first week of June and then I will look and see how the root indicator works and if I will replace the timing indicator with it.

Off to sleep now. It's about to be 12am for me so I'm going to call it a night early and hit the sheets.

Yikes! Thanks for catching that. Yes that is a major typo on my part. I meant the first week in January. Great catch FerruFX. Now I'm officially going to sleep! Talk with everybody tomorrow.

Thanks. It has been a two year battle, and I just spent two days of testing where they only test they didn't give me is the one where they rip off my head and reach down inside my body to see if there is any cancer left, and they have found nothing. As such, I have a few right sided dexterity issues from the brain tumor that formed out of this hole thing, but it is very liveable. I have one more treatment designed for those in remission to make it stay there which is a one time deal that takes about a month and I may finally be free from teh clutches of cancer and healthcare.. neither likes to let go. But I am so grateful for our healthcare system and every employee in it. As a matter of fact, I almost have a degree to work in it. yeah!!!!

No matter how bad I had it. When I run into people that have it so much worse than me. This whole experience has humbled me more than I can ever explaim=n.. And I can't forget about my wife who deserves as much, if not more credit than I do. So thanks for your kind words.. they do mean a lot.

I don't have divergence on The Root, but I do have a trendline, and it seems that I have jumped the gun with my trade. (If only I didn't beat myself with so many mistakes.) But, hopefully it will still work out. You may notice the price did not quite get up there to touch the upper trend line. This happens a lot and a decision as to be made. I usually like to see price action get us 2/3 of the way between the center and one of our target lines. I think this is close enough and so I decided to go for it. I am also aware of the higher swing and what that could imply.

On which candle did you entered this EURCAD trade ? I can't see one which crossed your manual trendline.

This one didn't cross the line. For some reason I am an early. I must of saw something that I thought was there but it wasn't. In actuality I would still be waiting for the trade to enter. Hopefully that won't happen anymore though.
