Hi Guy,

I have been demoing this system for quiet a while now and some backtesting as well.
I quiet like to prospect and the higher time frames means I can do this along side my day job.

I would like to thank all the kind people here for sharing their ideas and getting this to us.

I think what would really help is if the experience traders posted some trades as they took them. It helps to discuss trades during live trading rather than in the future as it is always easy to see trends and why your trades went right later.

I am not trying to get people to post trades so that I can copy them, I think it will give a more practical notion to a theory that we have now.

Finally, it would even be better if people post trades they have lost. This gives us more sense as to what not to do.

I hope I am not asking for too much. Many very successful threads on FF follow this trend of posting trades as they happen.

AUD/USD was pretty much ranging...better trade trending pairs. For consistent profits and high win rates stay with H1 and H4 time frame.
I will post some charts later...I am up +70 pips today.

And always take a look at daily (and weekly/monthly) s/r lines to take high probality trades with enough room to the next line.

Thanks... I am sticking to 1H Charts. This is what I meant. If everyone practicing the system starts posting then we all can work together and improve our trading. Also, it is possible that we will get more coverage of the pairs and find out which ones are working best.

By the Olarion, I appreciate you saying that you will post some charts but, please do try and post them as you take the trades rather than past trades.

IMHO, EU is ranging at the moment, trying to decide whether to shoot "up" or "down". As such your traded didn't work out as planned. Lets see what happens next ....

How do you folks know which pairs to watch for a big juicy move?

I am pretty good at spotting a good set up, but I need to figure out how to choose which pairs to watch.
I am guessing you just need to quickly look through a bunch of different pairs looking for a nice set up?

(just thinking out loud) Maybe if one looked the night before on the daily charts and marked down which ones might look good for a potential move and then choose 3 or 4 to keep your eye on?

Hi PGPB,

I trade beside my daily job in the office. In general I look through the charts every new hour for spotting setups on the H1 and H4. If I see a setup (engulfing, type 2 or inside bar) I quickly look at the higher time frame trend and the daily/weekly/monthly s+r line to make my decision. If I am comfortable with the risk and the reward (enough room to the next level of possible turning), I pull the trigger.

But I avoid pairs that have been ranging on the Daily for a few days (50sma is flat and price bouncing between 2 levels). In that case I wait for price making a new high or low before even thinking of an entry.

For money management I move my stop to BE at r/r of 1:1 and/or trail my SL behind the last closed H1 candles into the direction of the trend.

I hope this helps.

This is just an alternative to the engulfing price action and all other rules remain unchanged.

1. For shorts the signal candle must close in the bottom 25% of its range and its high or the previous candles high must be the highest high of the last 5 candles.

Thanks 60... I realise this rule and have read it before. I was just finding it hard how this rule actually was applied to the entry. I guess there was a bit of discretion.
