Hi Aryary, welcome back!

Your charts are truly invaluable for newbie learning and are excellent as always.

I agree exactly with your thoughts re trading results, I understand and am similar inclined (i don't trade off MT4).

Generally speaking to all, (and this is not u aryary) mmaker does have a point in us all needing to be accountable, transparent and truthful. There is a human tendency and alot of reinforcemnt towards over-claim, to only posting winners, to idealising the enties and exits, to 'forgetting' about the win/loss ratio. This is part of trading and part of the INTERNAL/SELF denial issues that is at the core of most traders losing.

We miust guard against this and go forward with honesty and integrity so that we all honesty know where we are and where the system is. it is part of developing as a good trader. We need to know OURSELVES.

For some posting actual trade ticket is great, i try to shw what I am considering doing, what I do/enter as live and what the outcome was good or bad, and analysis. It may help if we even honestly give a simple summary of our day trading such as +20,+10, +2, 0, 0, -12,-9 whatever, but honesty is key for ourselves and the thread longterm. we will learn more from losses, we can help each other, the system DOES WORK if we have the discipline to follow it, there ARE successful good tradeers here to help :-)

just my thoughts

Hi people,

I've not posted any charts or trades over the last couple of days for obvious reasons. Its not been a good environment - furthermore the treatment of Arjun. Understandably Arjun has been deeply hurt but I believe his wisdom will continue on the thread.

I've had numerous private messages and emails for charts etc. I will post my charts, trades taken and also missed opportunities for educational purposes.

I will not be posting my statement - i do not trade on MT4, im always scaling in and out of position, pip count means nothing to...

About Trade Entries and Exits:

Dear Emmanuel,

so, if i understand correctly, i can, for example, use your R-Multiple method like that :

I open my trade with 2 equal units (for example each one represent 1 % of my capital), then :
@ TP 1 i put SL to BE (for my 2 units)
@ TP2 i take profit with 1 unit and let the second one run
@ TP 3 take profit of the second unit

Am i correct ?
Thanks a lot

Peace
dom

Hi Boris,

What you described is one way which will work.
But it all depends on various factors and how your financial objectives can be achieved. This is part of the system design using a technical method here. The method which works best in a particular market type and must be proven over time with a large number of trades.

The concept whether we trade using
1) Single Entry/Single Exit
2) Single Entry/Multiple Exits
3) Multiple Entries/Single Exit
4) Multiple Entries/Multiple Exits

depends on the trader and his business plan. I personally use 2) and 4) more often.

For traders looking for that 10~20pips everyday, method 1) will work best.

Attached is 2 pages taken out of a book which describe this entry and exits concept.
You may want to study this and understand how it will work using some chart examples and the R-Multiple script which I posted in this thread. Remember ..."Let Profits Run" and how to make it work in trade management.

What I like to do is, starting in Jan next year, to post some trade examples so that we can all learn and practice this in realtime.

I am already in shutdown mode and start my year end vacation hence not in the mood to do any trading for the next 2 weeks.

Trade Well and Happy Holidays!

How many times do these "dear brothers" have to say they are leaving or won't post anymore ..... and then come back again to preach? Where is the integrity? Do these "dear brothers" do what they say? Looks like the great leader is indeed coming back alive.

Keep the religion out of trading. The prayers, the blessings, the elevation of "dear brothers" to sainthood and divine beings, even to God. Without any account statements or myfxbook or FF TradeExplorer, anyone can just cheer along and post a one-time +10pips winner and conveniently not mention the countless losers that never worked. Transparency and integrity is lacking as you realized wisely.

I hope people here will listen to your advice and suggestions and show what actually happened to their accounts, not what they want others to "believe" they did, when there are lots more losers than that pitiful one small winner which is posted. Where is the transparency?
