Price Action Speed Rate?

Hi,

Is their a indicator or method of measuring speed price action is going at some like a speedometer?

I'm not really sure what you want, but you will find a momentum indicator in the MT oscillators. Possibly the closest thing to a speedometer.

You can get indicators which will give you pips per hour. Search average hourly range.

Tick volumes (the count of up and down ticks in every candle) will tell you more or less accurately the level of activity between sellers and buyers in every given candles. For exemple, if you have several big bullish candles with normal tick volume followed by a small bearish pin bar with heavy tick volume at a key resistance level it might be a good indication of the strenght and validity of the pin bar pattern and the resitance level that is being tested.

This indicators help in comparing the level of activity and, to a certain extent (a small extent..), the actual volume of transactions. I do not know if this is what you meant by speed, but I hope it helps.

i like the idea of tick bars does it quantify the number of ticks as well. I use MT4 don't see ticks as an option.

You're way more complicated than I like being (at least when it comes to quantifying tick bars).
There's a method and a madness.......... I like method.
