Sabrina,

You are wrong in your conclusion that it's not interesting combined with others.
If Gadi_Currencies doesn't agree with others - you are heading toward large DD - even if the trade is eventually profitable.

I trade this system for the past 3 years. It's still working with the same success rate.
Gadi_Currencies can be traded by itself - if you know what it means.
All the info and reasoning is here - and if you don't understand something you can ask.
Vague remarks doesn't really help much.

I did not intend to insult anybody. My point was that, from my experience, you cannot trade currency strenght indicators blindly. As a signal service, so to say.

Quezoy I know what you are saying however if you read through the thread and see that G is not only saying use the currency indicator but use the other indicators as extra confirmation. Granted there are many indicators of this type, as there are many different strategies its down to the trader to understand how a certain indicator works and if it will fit with their style. Each trader must best utilize the tools at hand. If your not sure about how a certain indicator works demo it to get used to it. Or do what I'm planning and use it on a micro account with micro lots. The more you use it the more accustomed you will get to it. Learn to use it on 1 currency and learn the way that currency behaves. Just my 2 pennies I'm a noob so don't take my word for it.

I don't know what you have used in the past. I actually trade based on this Gadi_Currencies alone, on live account.
That's NOT the recommended method - it requires MTF and experience.

As for it's effectiveness - follow Sabrina's posted tradings and you will see from my last posted chart how it "predicts" that #3 trade wasn't going to be a smooth trade - hours before...

As to Gadi_OBV - there are plenty of LIVE examples where a breakout was predicted minutes and hours before, and the resulting pips.
But I'm not a signaling service - all the info is here for you to try and come back with your results and comments.

...And yes, you did insulted Sabrina and her fine work and constructive comments with your language.

You are really welcome here - share and contribute - but please try to be more polite.

Ok so trades that I missed out on today. All trades from now on will be atleast 1:2 RR. I'm sure others would say how would I stay in the trade for a long time and how it'll play psychologically. Well that is the problem most of us traders have. I'm hoping to have a place kind of place and forget policy and check it once an hour or so. Only reason I want to use 5 min chart is because the SL tends to be a little smaller and you get a better entry. If I am at the computer and do watch the trades I'm planning on sitting on my hands . That way I can monitor the trade and see how it affects me. If a trade presents itself I will try and enter but only if the SL is suitable and Gadi_obv and tick_volume agree. Oh and also the other indicator I'm using . Target will be about 30 pips a day maybe more depending on how a trade pans out. Wish me luck!

G just a quick question....I noticed that the tick_volume indicator is very similar to the TVI indicator. Do they use the same equations and ideas?I'm guessing they're both the same just with different formulas.

TVI and Gadi_TickVolume are very similiar. I'm not sure if TVI is MTF.

Using my guidelines - @12:55 you should have only 5-6 pips SL.

I just wanted to say that The Gadi_currencies Diff is interesting even "alone" because often it anticipates the movement.
See the chart below, in both cases we have a good signal from the indicator (short the first, long the second) but the price is still moving in its original direction and we must wait patiently for the confirmation of the other indicators.
Make sense?

Your guidelines means using your SL idea of using PSAR and fractals yes? I'm still not used to that concept yet but will try to use it today. I guess its FEAR of the price hitting my SL and then moving my way that makes me cautious.

Could we please have a little more history on the Gadi Currency Diff and the Gadi Currency 2.8. Pretty please . I know they are a drain on CPU but I'd really like to backtest at least 6 months.

G, which TF do you percive to be "the best" for the OBV breakout after London open.

I've had 2 false down signals on eu today on M15, interestingly, those were not visible on M5 or H1.
The obvious choice would be H1 for reliability, but with some strong breaks you can get a later entry if you dont pay attention.
M5 looks good, one would think that it would have the most false breakouts, but from a quick scan I've done, this seems not to be the case.

I will play the London breakout on M5 on 6 pairs for the next days and report how it went.

Currently long XAU, EU ans UJ.

I think G trades the 1Hr and the 4Hr and uses the smaller timeframes for entry.

Yes PA bounced off yesterdays low. The Gadi Diff may have also helped- it showed a long once PA hit yesterdays low.

Your long trade is great.
